Ya there is a background berry flavor that might be good but the soapy taste seems to blowout that berry part. Mine was mixed on the 21st of December. So it steeped for a little over a week as well. I'm going to try an open air steep for a couple of days and then let it sit with the cap on for another week or so. Hopefully that will help. Glad I'm not alone in this though.:)

That's how my Banana's n cream and caramel capp are. I figured I just hadn't let it sit long enough. I have since been keeping a list and trying a bit to see if they are ready. Still learning the custom flavoring rules

Hmmm... your caramel capp tasted soapy? Usually it is just fruity and berry flavors that can taste like that. Interesting.

Anything "Perfumey" to me means alcohol. Those I let sit with the caps off and even the dripper tip removed for extra air flow. I also will cap and shake them every other day or so to get the alcohol to evaporate.

I haven't gotten any real perfumey types of juices from Deej yet, of course I haven't tried all of his flavors either. But I have had them in the past.

As far as changing the Vivi head goes, if you remove the dripper tip from the juice bottle you can carefully pour the juice back into it, then change the head. I've had to do that before with tanks when the carto fried on me or didn't want to wick.

Interesting. That does give me hope for it as well. Next time I'm going to test it out in a dripping atty though instead of filling up a whole tank and having to dump it out. Thanks.

That and I am also going to get a VV as well. I was tired of filling up clearos only to realize it wasn't ready.......with this it has the added benefits of working on my Access DB Skills :)

Oh you need a VV.
Every juice has a different sweet spot.
Like my Cheescakes I set low at like 3.8-4.0. Otherwise they taste burnt to me.
But for the English toffee to taste just perfect I set it between 4.8- 5.2.

That could be the problem then. I'll have to try steeping without the cap and tip on and see what happens.

I didn't even think about taking the dripper off and pouring it back in. Thanks on both counts. :toast:

Remember to shake the bottle for about 30 seconds everyday for the first week at least.
It helps steep and blends all together well too.

Thanks for the advice. I tend to shake them everyday for the first few days but it's usually only for 15 or so seconds. I will use 30 seconds shakes for a week from now on though.

Sorry, it wasn't soapy....more just burnt coffee is. I am thinking I had it to high ( stock ego with 1.7ohm redux).

I am learning this very quickly that I should have started off with a VV lol. Some though are just great with the stock eGo

O ok, I get what you were saying now. That makes a lot more sense. I just read too fast. The espresso flavor mellowed out a little on my Caramel Capp CC after some steeping.
