on the Prime thing... it's something to look at if you do a lot of Amazon shopping. And you have to be careful when you're searching for tangible goods to select the "Prime" checkbox.

I've found the pricing on the Prime stuff to be a bit more expensive than the non-Prime... but then when you see the shipping charges on the non-Prime, it suddenly becomes worth it. But again, only if you do enough Amazon shopping to make it so.

The only Prime Video I've watched has been the newer Doctor Who shows. I watched the latest Christmas Special a little while back... I'm really looking forward to this next season.

Ew! I hate when that happens! (the going in part... not the having to do another order part... )

Yes it looks like a passthrough is in my future. Decided not to go in as I have this fear of seeing something is wrong/down which will then compel me to try and fix it.....guess I will have to resort to one of the icky backups.

I had to take a break to add Nectarine Cheesecake and the Belgian Waffle line... :p
I was just inquiring about the Belgian Waffles. I didn't know they were ready yet. :D

ETA: 294 flavors!

They charge more to prime subscribers? Tacky. I've never joined prime. If I need something that fast, I'll buy it locally. And I can always find $25 worth of stuff to buy to avoid shipping charges. Once I threw in a tube of toothpaste.

The only thing that bugs me is pre-ordering DVDs. It's coming out in a month. You order it. And, because you are getting free shipping, they sit on it for 3 or 4 days after the release before shipping it. If you ask why, it's because it's free shipping so they have to find the most efficient way to ship it. As if their carriers charge less on Friday than they do on Monday.

We do Amazon Prime, and I think it's worth it. My DH has suddenly started ordering pretty much EVERYTHING on Amazon...shampoo, dish soap, Clif Bars, and, well, here's a funny story...

So the doorbell rings one day, and it's the UPS guy. He looks really worried and says he thinks there may be a problem with something we ordered. He goes back to the truck and picks up a box and shakes it. It makes a weird noise and little bits of what look like maybe COPYRIGHTDMCA of broken glass are falling out the bottom. Yes, that looks like a problem. I think for a minute... "Honey?" I yell back in the door, "Did you order cat litter on Amazon?" (We get the crystals kind) "Yeah, why?" he asks. "I think it's OK," I tell the UPS guy. Yes, the cat litter was not well sealed in the box, and was leaking out the bottom.

That reminds me... I can't get B&M Baked Beans or Bread here...

That is funny lol I used to work at UPS though I wouldn't have been surprised if glass was broken

Yay! I'm excited to try the Belgian Waffles, too, as I think you all know how I feel about the original Waffles!

Me too....and I just got my new 30ml bottle the other day.....stupid 1st world problems

I think it's an unrecognized illness to be around malfunctioning tech and being compelled beyond all rationality to fix it. :)

Yes, I that. Just like this other PC I have right next to me.....neighbors were going to pitch it because they bought a new one since they couldn't find the Windows COA. So I slapped a few TBs of drives for a media file server....just need to pick a flavor to load on for the OS

Amazon truly does have just about everything. I love how I can find things that aren't sold locally and buy them. Like a soap, that I need for a facial skin condition that I have, that has zinc in it. The soap works like a charm but no shop around here sells it. So Amazon to the rescue.

I like my prime membership because I order a lot of things online. I might be a little biased though as I get the membership for free, as a guest on my father's account. As a guest, I get the free two day shipping but not the streaming video or the free kindle books. :(

That's a very good idea. I was going to turn my old desktop into a MAME arcade but I might have to try that instead. Hmmmm.... :)
