They don't have to commit to quitting analogs. There are a lot of people here who started vaping to replace some of their cigarettes -- often just to save a little money. And a lot of them ended up quitting completely anyway. After all, vaping doesn't have to be a huge expense (until you are hooked) -- a couple of ego batteries & chargers, the atty/carto/tank you recommend to them and a couple of bottles of e-liquid.

That's certainly true. For the cost of a carton of analogs, you can get quite a decent set-up and enough juice to last for at least a week.

Longer if you're paying NYC prices! :laugh:

New York City has the highest prices in the country -- currently about $12.50 a pack. (Chicago and Anchorage are, I think, the only other cities with their own taxes on them.)

When I quit, a pack was $10.50 but in July 2010, the state budget was facing a shortfall of a few billion or something. They made up most of it by adding another $1.60 per pack tax.

Feds = $1.01
NYS = $4.35
NYC = $1.50
Total = $6.86 per pack

For some reason, this has made me very cynical about the sincerity of the government regarding their desire for people to quit smoking.
