Got me a bunch of Vapemail today but it's all hardware. Gotta say my 1st impression of Kanger's "evod" is pretty darn good.
Gotta start off by saying I hate just about anything that uses a string as wicking. Always seems to mute the flavor for me. I keep going back and trying the new models though, in hopes they'll finally nail it. Mainly because I like their convenience.
But the evod seems to be delivering the goods this time so far.
I was pretty impressed with the T3 too at first until I got to some certain flavors. I'm thinking having the coil on the bottom though is the way to go so there's less gravity and wicking up the string involved.
The evod is like the T3 in that it has a bottom coil with replaceable head, but the head is separate from the big metal base making it much cheaper. The head instead screws into the metal base. Also the tank is metal now with a little window on each side to watch the juice level. They also come in different colors.
I also got a 5 pack of 1.8ohm and 2.5ohm heads. They come with a 2.5ohm installed. So far the 2.5ohm seems to need the little extra oomph that an ego twist can provide, but not up to it's max voltage. Was hoping the 1.8's would work on a regular ego.
Click the pic to see the lowest price I've seen so far. Though I have seen the heads as low as low as around $6.50 per 5 pack.
Like a dummy, I started them off with "unknown" juices. So I'm not sure if ti's the juice or the device that's giving all the good flavor. I'll report back after the real test of running my good old Fav's through it like NY Cheesecake and Sweet Gingerbread. Then I'll know for sure if any muting is going on.
