Good luck with that one! People will fight you for the right to buy cheap crap. How dare you suggest any American that buys cheap Chinese crap has any responsibility in our failing economy and the problems that arise from it! You are just silly to suggest anybody buy something that will last for years to come and save them money in the long run. Much better to buy something cheap that only lasts a few weeks and scoff at those who think other wise!

EDIT: sorry
EricHill78 Im done deraling your thread;-)

my bad...I'll go to my room now....

They aren't going to ban these battery sticks, you just won't be able to find anything to put in them. Nicotine juice will have to be sold in pre filled, tamper resistant, cartomizers, that screw in to whatever BT stick battery they are made for. These cartomizers will be made in FDA, OSHA, and EPA approved facilities that will costs millions to build.

Just like you can't find illicit substances in the US. Yeah, the FDA's banning of bottled e-liquid is DEFINITELY gonna work...

Do you really feel like going through those avenues to get your favorite e-juice? Right now juice sellers are reputable small businesses. I don't think these guys, many of whom have other jobs, want to be a part of an underground nicotine trade. They may be able to sell the juice with 0 nic and then people can add their own mic, but it's a small market that will probably want to do that.

I do think we are a couple years out, but I think the endgame is going to be an e-cig industry monopolized by big tobacco.

A battery mod is just way too general to sink with an ecig ban. By definition its a portable battery container with optional power regulation just like a laptop or a power drill battery unit. If they target the 510 connector then imo thats even better since then they could be equipped with something more sensible like a standard TNC or a stiff RCA jack

You can't ban PG, VG or Nicotine liquid really as they all have many uses outside of vaping.

The flavors are common cooking flavors.

So ejuice is going to be possible at least on a DIY level.

Its the hardware that has me worried hence I am investing in rebuilding setups.

oh man another great example is those stupid whip cream cartridges you find at head shops.. c02 tank connected to a device to make "whipped cream" yeah make whipped cream my .... but all the stupid kids are using it to huff and kill brain cells and guess what its still available because its target for that exact reason but labeled as a device to make whipped cream

or stuff for cleaning VCR heads... because i haven't seen a VCR in about a decade, myself.

Typically sold alongside toy gas masks of all things, purely by coincidence of course..

I like it. If only for the utility of it. But if they ban all PVs made after 2008 how would that work? You really think they're going to go door to door? That'll be ... eventful.

Attrition as peoples gear breaks and can't be replaced. Not all of us have any idea how to build our own Mods. In my case no idea where to look to find out how. :p

I've seen several suggestions on the forum that flashlights can be converted into PVs. I have a small drawerful of cheap LED lights that lasted a few weeks and then stopped working. They all have nice anodized and knurled aluminum cylinders, the battery packs are built-in, and they're the right size. Not being much with electrical stuff, I have no idea how you'd go about making one into a vape. Has anyone actually done this? Is there a tutorial somewhere?

I hope you're right. I just see Nicorette gum/mints in safety sealed packages with extensive instructions and warnings all over the package. This stuff is only available in 2 and 4mg doses. It just seems that eventually the FDA, and Big Tobacco, would have an issue with people selling this stuff from their kitchen labs. I hope I'm wrong.

I have said before the tax will be imposed on nicotine liquid. The FDA has what rights over batteries, kanthal wire etc? They cannot do a thing against hardware. Tax wire? every electrical engineer in the US will be unamused. PG, VG? well how come now - been using it since the 1940s with no issues. Cotton? That's not cool - my granny that knits will kill them!

The reason they will tax said liquid is because - nicotine conjures up smoking in the popular imagination - and we ALL know smoking is bad and it's a great way to fleece people.

It really is about time that they did a little research and asked a few medics what IS dangerous about smoking burning tobacco, but they won't because it's easy tax money.

So - i suggest you learn how to at least make your own liquid - there is plenty of advice here and stock up on that. Pre-(name a year) devices! LOL - imagine if they did that to phones or computers!!

I really doubt they will do anything about the hardware just the liquid. If they regulate the liquid the DIY forum will just become allot more popular with many more in depth tutorials and personal recipes and where to get the different ingredients. When things change people naturally adapt as will the vaping community to anything that may happen in the future.

Vaping has grown way too big to stop at this point, we will adapt if need be and vape on no matter what may happen.

I said DIY not selling what you make. Just making it for yourself. There is a big difference there.
