You just reminded me of a dear unkle who would have two donuts, cream in his coffee, and use sweet & low, because, every little bit helps, right? LOL
That's a big pile of preps for that money, it won't do any good though if they don't have access to about ten times that amount or more of clean water. I guess if there bunker is big enough they could store that much, filters are only going to work if it's not a radiological event. If it's an EMP event, only a matter of time before all them round dome big water heaters start melting down...if it's a giant solar CME, I have a suspicion that a lot of buildings are going to go up in flames from all the electrical arcing that would occur. I've come to the conclusion that unless you are living off grid way out in someplace like the Ozarks, you really can't prep for worst case scenarios.
