LOL, that song always seemed to hit the stereo at parties when I was a kid. Back in NH, smelling a skunk was a sure sign of spring, don't seem to have too many here in NC...
I remember singing along with it when it first came out, especially any time we were riding in the car and came up on one of the poor unfortunate souls. I don't see too many skunks around here since all the farm dirt has been turned into expensive houses, but we sometimes get a strong odor around here. I never know if it was a skunk or one of the local "urban farmers" airing out his basement, but a few times I've had to close up the windows in the early morning hours.
