Todays menu:
Blau Kraut,
salty sweet and savory braised cabbage, cabbage is coarsly shredded and quick brined with pink Himilayan salt and red wine vinigar. Building on the flavors in the braise are sauteed sweet onion, Granny Smith apple, garlic, with cloves, cinnamon red wine and chicken stock. The recipe came to me from an Austrian friend.
Pulled Braised Pork, with baby Yukon gold potatoes and carrots:
The pork is braised on a mirepoix bed of sweet onion, celery and carrots with garlic cloves. The bath consists of red wine, chicken stock, and stewed tomatoes and sweet onion. A branch of rosemary laid on the roast and gently cooked in a cast iron dutch oven for several hours, potatoes and carrots added at final hour and a half for robust flavor infusion.

I tried to paint a picture with words...would you order it if you read that on a menu? I really need a new PC, since mine crashed and I got someone to save what they could of it, I lost my phot editing software so it's back to scratch for me trying to figure out how to get photos hosted and sized on a host again. Sux...I tried the iPod photo thing and they come out crappy for me, so, yeah, no more photos from E for a while
Maybe I'll just crawl back under my rock and wait to die...
