You're welcome. Looking good there! Pretty sweet stand. Did you make that? :toast:
Yeah, I made three of them out of some wenge wood I had, that's the only one that doesn't have a bottom plate, still works really good though at keeping them stable and upright. That one I can pocket carry :).

This photo is a place from my hometown where we used to swim as kids, jumping off the granit cliff into the river just like this...I used to live about a quarter mile downstream from here...

NHHORSE2.jpg

here's the view from up top, it's a ways down...and depending on what the season was, the river was either a raging current, where you would have to swim like mad to mad it back ashore, and in the spring, you only had a minute or so, before the cold water would suck all the strength out of you, to when it was low, in the summer, and you would have to curl when you hit the water to keep from slamming into the granite river bed. It was a right of passage for young teen boys to leap off this cliff into the river. In the second photo, there used to be painted in red on the rock...HELL...we weren't too bright.

^^ whenever I go home to visit, I always take an hour or three, and return to this place, just to sit on them rocks, and listen to the music of the water dancing across the rocks...it is a sound that I spent most of my life hearing, because we lived just up the bank from the river. It is a sound that brings me peace...
