Defective Aspire Atlantis???

Crxess it is definitely genuine, but thanks for letting me know this so I'll be careful when ordering the replacement.

And everyone I appreciate the responses, but I keep saying that it is NOT giving me dry/burnt hits. It's all vapor, no burning taste whatsoever. It is wicking just fine, I promise you. I merely think the flavor isn't as good as it is in my other tanks. But there is NO burning going on. I only mentioned the difference in flavor to see if others had experienced the same thing.

Plain and simple, even with the airflow down to a minimum, the hit seems WAY too airy. There's absolutely no resistance when you pull on it, in fact, there's very little difference between the pull when it's on the least setting and the max setting. I can only assume that there's an air leak taking these things into consideration. I just wanted to ask around to see if possibly the tank is supposed to be like that. But the air leak would also explain why I'm not getting the amounts of vapor this thing should be producing.

I'm experiencing this, compared to my RDA tanks, this one has a funky flavor to it, almost a metallic taste or something, but not as good as using my rda

I have 2 Atlantis tanks on CF Sub Ohm Battery. They work great. I do notice when I put in a new atomizer/coil the flavor isn't so good for a little bit. Then it seems to get better as it breaks in. Same thing when I rebuild the coils with organic Japanese cotton. One thing to check out. On the side of the coil with the 2 big holes on it there are threads. Above the theads you will notice a larger metal ring. It's a stop ring for when you tighten it. Right there should be an almost invisible silicone O ring. I had one that was missing and it was a problem. Check it out. Just a thought.

I would have to say there's definitely something wrong with it. I just got my Atlantis a week ago, and it has lots of flavor and vapor and the airflow is quite adjustable. After reading your post, just for kicks I completely closed off the airflow and I couldn't get anything at all out of it. If you can get it replaced I would, this is not how an Atlantis should be. Hope you get a good one next time so you can enjoy it!

I want really, really bad to like this tank. It wasn't looking good, but I just put a tank of higher VG lower nic liquid in as a lot people suggested. We'll see. I also think I may give it a try on my nemesis instead of my tesla m5. I don't know if it will make a difference, but we'll see. My mods just may not be suited for the tank. May give me an excuse to buy a new toy :)
