my last 2 cleaning sessions i've used an Isopropol Alcohol bath & vigorus shake with my parts in a big pill bottle and then a rinse with Distilled water....Beautiful clean results and no aftertaste whatsoever and i'm NOT dead or dying....i'm NOT recommending this procedure to anyone just stating the fact.

...thank you & have a wonderful day...unless you made other plans...:vapor:

Tried the dental tabs. Got Walgreens brand. Tabs are blueish in color and turned the water slightly blue as well. Did have a hint of minty smell to it. Soaked for an hour then rinsed. Worked great.... Second go around I decided to let everything soak over night (last night). Rinsed this morning. Totally sucks. Major aftertaste of cheap toothpaste....driving me insane! I hope I didn't ruin my tanks... I guess when I get home I will try to boil everything a little, soak in vodka, soak in baking soda and rinse a million times....
Anyone else have an idea what else to do? I haven't vaped in an hour, I've drank a glass of water, ate food and am chewing gum....I can't get that nasty taste out of my mouth!

I would not boil the tanks. There are several rubber grommets that might get compromised and start leaking or even shorting out the power.

I use distilled water. Soak them for a while, swishing then every so often. Change out the water and repeat. You could also try the vodka.

I do not use denture tablets for tanks, tips, condoms. Only use for me is the coil head, if I neglect it and it gets too gunky.

With the exception of a few strong flavors (like Tiki), a distilled water rinse soak is more than sufficient. I do try to dedicate tanks to flavor families, one for mints/menthols, one for fruity, and one for chocolates. I like to keep these tastes separate.

distilled water doesnt have any impurities (or more accurately far fewer impurities) than tap water or purified water. with few impurities to create ions, there's less chance of corrosive or harmful material affecting the tank components.
Plus, water is the universal solvent. The purer it is, the better it can dissolve stuff. Like a sponge or a mop that is totally wrung out. And distilled is cheap, much cheaper than spring water.

Which is why, contrary to popular belief, distilled is good for you to drink. It is able to flush away more impurities than tap, but it does taste somewhat flat, tap or spring tastes better. And if used in a coffee machine, it'd never need cleaning, as there'd be no scale build-up.

(Wheez, forgot about the ions. Good point.)

I have used 3% peroxide with Hydrochloric acid to dissolve copper on PCBs. Also on the Mythbusters they used 30% peroxide with sulfuric acid to some what dissolve a pig. And apparently 80% peroxide, aka high test peroxide, aka T-Stoff. Dissolved a pilot's arm and turned his head to jelly in a matter of minutes.

But what I find very confusing is that some people inject peroxide into their blood stream!

make sure to check the ingredients for aromatic oils like peppermint or spearmint. also look for menthol or carvone. sometimes it's labeled on the ingredients list as something more generic like 'aroma'. sometimes citric acid is the mint substitute, but not always. i have seen denture tabs that don't have citric acid in it and they're usually not mint types.
