I had my last analog last Thursday at 2:00 p.m. I've had some cravings for analogs since then, but nothing that some puffs on my eGo didn't fix. I'm not really even sure what it is I'm craving, but I haven't caved yet.

One thing I have noticed is that I've had some serious bouts of depression off and on since then. I think the worst of it was over the weekend, when I spent hours on the verge of tears for no reason. It's much better now, but it was something that completely caught me off guard.

Has anyone else had that problem?

MAOI is probably what your brain is missing - its very common and you can supplement your use of PV by using something with MAOI in it like snuff or snus if its really bad - if you travel down to the smokeless tobacco forum on ECF they can give you chapter and verse on it all AND you'll find people who are in the same boat and totally 'get' it.
Don't feel alone or weird - you are normal :)

(MistressNomad, our own mad scientist, (lol) gave a wonderful explanation of how MAOI and dopamine acts on the brain and affects our bio-chemical balance on another thread in new members if you want to search for it)

I did at first but only for a short time it gets better and it will pass.

Your body is going through changes right now. The body is not craving nicotine it’s clean itself out. Cigarettes have over 4,000 chemicals in it some very dangers. You body got us to them and now is fixing itself. The first week I almost felt like I had a mild case of the flu.

It should pass soon. Just keep vamping and think happy thoughts. Remember this is a new and exciting time in your life.

Remember that the ECF is always here to lend a hand when possible.

The strange thing for me has been the loss of concentration. Maybe a bit of depression too but I was attributing my mood swings to PMS.

I put the half N half in the pantry instead of the fridge yesterday morning and I keep losing my keys.

I took my watch off yesterday while I was changing spark plugs on my pickup. Last I saw, it was on the fan shroud along with a ratchet and some other tools. Still haven't found it.

I sometimes walk into the kitchen for a reason. When I get there, I can't remember the reason. Let's blame it on not smoking ...!

Pretty much. I found after every time I'd quit cold turkey that the first 2-3 days of no smokes, I'd be in a daze. Almost like I was high on pot. Forgetful, uncoordinated, basically space-cadet like. A fog over my brain.

Comes with the territory I guess.
