I've not been happy with my vape the last few days. It's been adequate, but not nice. Even a tank of my favorite juice didn't improve things.

I was planning on changing out my coil this weekend, but on the way home from work today, I realized that I couldn't remember the last time I re-wicked this tank. I'm not positive, but I think it was when I was out of town, the week of October 19! Surely I've done it at least one since though, I typically re-wick at least once a week, but I've been switching back and forth with my RDA lately, so I got confused.

Came home and broke it down. The wick actually looked okay, but the coil was gunked all to *&%$. No time to rebuild now, there's dinner to be made and kids to take care of!

A little dry burning and rinsing, and my coil looks almost new. A new wick and I'm good to go, now I'm tasting all the flavor!

I sometimes clean stuff out, even if it doesn't need it, just to keep in rhythm.

But, the important thing is you're baaaaaaaaaaack

I usually rewick every day or two and will use a coil forever.

I pull the wick, rinse, dry burn, then rewick.

I keep a couple of KF's cleaned, wicked and just waiting for juice, just in case.

yupperz... gunked coils will reduce flavor big time... dont let the crud build up

I normally *try* to dry-burn and rewick about every other day... have been known to go 3 days, but with my super-gunk juice, my husband says it smells bad if the coil gets really gunky and turns the juice brown.

However recently, sometimes I find that even by the next day, the gunk is reducing flavor so much that I have to go on and dry-burn/rewick a day early. Not a huge deal; takes 5 minutes.

That's why I ordered a handful of decks for my tank. That way, I can slap a new one in on the fly and worry about cleaning/rewicking later.
