Got my derringer. Building it dual coil, 28g, 7/6 wrap on 2.5mm diameter, 0.67 ohm. Muji unbleached Japanese cotton. vaping at 18-20w on ProVape ProVari 3. vape for half day or 4-5 re-drip then flavour gone or dry hit even when the wick in not totally dry.
Tried less wick and it's worst.
Tried long wick, same. Dry hit when the wick still slightly wet.
Here is how my build.

5 good hits is about what I'm getting out of mine, but I'm vaping at .12-.14ohm at 60w-100w. After 5 hits it shouldn't be completely dry, especially at such low power - but don't let it get dry like that because you'll burn the cotton. Once the flavor starts vanishing, redrip. I always leave room for air to pass under the coils and can still put at least 10 drops in it without it leaking. The juice you're using will play a part in this as well don't forget.

I'm vaping on mine with about the same setup at Lord mentioned. I use parallel coils. Your coils don't look like they are quite high enough to get some air under them. You should be able to see the center post under the coil. Makes a world of difference. Also, yeah you probably need to drip more often. Remember dripping is all about the flavor and not how many draws you can take with one wicking. Good luck
