I got my marquis clone from him. So far it's my least fav flavor wise, but folks say it's an amazing flavor atty, so hoping I'll get the right build in it to achieve that. Haven't messed with it much since the first time. Doffy sent me some attys so i've been playing with those. Need to pull the marquis back out soon.

Yeah, just play around with your build. I have a dual twisted 28ga 3mm ID coil in mine ohming out at, I believe, 0.8. Great flavor and respectable vapor. I haven't even tried a dual coil in it yet. But I generally prefer single coil.

well the one build I did was a twisted 30g that came in at 0.9 don't remember if it was 2 or 2.5 so that was close. Flavor was ok for a few hours, but then definitely wasn't lol

After my few days, the derringer is a really nice atty. It's not Mesh friendly though and you know me and my mesh. With cotton it's great either single or dual and performs very well. Just too much space for a single coil mesh.
Did someone say Marquis?

Bottom fed it. Used washers on all the screws. Really helps grab the wire(s). Great vape though just too big for the REO IMHO....

Quoting these together so I can bookmark the info, and also in case anyone else wants to.

Yeah the clone Marquis adjustable 510 screw is tiny. Soft metal but, there's zero room for error.

This is a catfish Atty mods version. Yes it's a clone but no brass and look at the precision work on that pin. That's a gynormous feed hole too :)

Goodluck with your DIY sis! Me too! I just got in half of what I ordered today--which is everything but the flavorings. Tonight I'm gonna whip up a 30ml bottle of unflavored at like 99%VG to see what this freak Russ is vaping over there. Really, the Sloth should not be handling concentrated nicotine. It's dangerous having it in the same house...

Ok so I successfully modified my Derringer clone (SS center post) to bottom feed. I used the EddieAdams method and did not remove the center post. Got me a 1/16 Dewalt cobalt split point bit at Lowes (<$3) and had no problem drilling out the center post from the top down with the atty mounted on my bench vise. I used the same bit to drill the squonk hole at the base of the center post. That was a little more tricky to get started but used the patience Eddie recommended!

So far the center post is tight with no movement or spinning while mounting 3 different coil setups. The cap is plenty tight on this clone too. This little atty really chucks the clouds and has good flavor. With the 1/16 hole, it's squonking like a champ to say the least. My latest build is dual 26g 6 wrap around a 3/32 bit coming in around 0.3 ohms. With the delrin DT I ordered with it, I'm having no problems with it getting too hot. Just have to keep experimenting with builds to find that magic flavor sweet spot. Thanks again for the tutorials - it really helped me out with this.
