Desperate! Please help me!

I'm annoyed.

Here is the deal....

- I began with an e cig 18.mg Didn't stop me smoking. Hated it and put it in the bin.

- Currently using 650mAH Anyvape battery with a Vision Ego CE5. Enjoying it more than the through away. Produces a bit more vaper but not enough I don't think.

I have tried 18mg and also experimented with 6mg juice.

What I'm finding is that as soon as I have finished my vaping session I start craving analogues immediately. At the time my vaping session ends I feel like I've had enough but I then often light up an analogue within 5 mins. What's wrong with me?

I smoke around 20 rollups a day with slim filters.

Is the set up the problem, or is it the nicotine strength?

What would you do if you were in my situation?

I'm desperate to stop smoking analogues! It's upsetting me that I'm finding the switch really hard!

Any advice would be so greatly received!

I would get a better battery/cartos and 24 mg juice. And I wouldn't have a "stop vaping" place. Just vape...chain vape if need be. And when your mind plays that "must have a cig" trick, tell it to shut up, pick up your vaping stuff and vape until that thought flees. If you really are desperate to stop to you have act like it and STOP--vape instead.

That said, a lot of folks don't stop cigs immediately upon starting vaping, so just pat yourself on the back for the cigs you haven't smoked vs beating on yourself for the ones you do.

Exactly what cbrite said.......

In the early stages, just lean HEAVILY on the VAPOR. Go with a higher nic concentration. I simply vaped until I had no further urge for nicotine at all, not to mention a stinkie. (For the first couple of weeks & months, I was chain vaping. Again, I vaped so much that it was simply impossible to crave anything more no matter what flavor I was using.)

After about 6 months, I gradually began to reduce the nic so that I am now at 0 to 6 mg, depending on my mood, with no real addiction (that I can really feel anyway) to nic.

Stick with it, WHATEVER you do, and all the best......

I agree with cbrite on both issues. First, 24mg should give you enough of a nicotine "rush" to hold off the cravings. If not, you can always go up to 36mg to start. The second issue is whether you are ready to stop smoking. Countless members here have posted about how frustrated they are trying to get a loved one to switch to ecigs with no success. I firmly believe that it depends entirely on whether a person is ready to stop smoking. If you aren't really ready to stop, no device or liquid strength will be adequate.

If this isn't yet able to help you move off of cigarettes, don't blame yourself or the products, just hold on to them until you are ready to work on cutting down or switching. Everybody makes that decision in their own time. Good luck finding your way out of smoking!

I would up the nicotine. I have a friend who only smokes with quit hits, outside, and she was still buying analogs. She only smoked about a half pack a day, but she doesn't chain vape. I DIYd her some 24mg nic because of this, and so far that seems to be doing the trick.

Better equipment gives you more nic hit, but if you don't go that route (and you don't need to), just up the nicotine.

Yes, I have +1'd CD brite's suggestion. First, try a higher nic content, and try a tobacco flavor. That's what I did. I used to be a pack a day smoker for 20 years. I switched to 24 mg, then lowered after that. 6 mg simply won't do it for you. at 6 mg, you're just teasing your smoking self... like giving starving person a cracker... it just won't satisfy your hunger for nicotine.

A big part of the addiction is the psychological side of it. For some that can be worse than the physical addiction. A trick to counter that, every time the thought of I want/need a cigarette pops in your head, STOP, take a breath and say "No I don't, I want/need nicotine".

It takes time for some people, keep at it, try some other flavors, nic strengths, types of toppers, and eventually you will find the combination that works for you.

after you've up'ed the strength of your nic juice (as others suggested), throw those analogues away. just trash 'em. that's what i did when i started vaping, because i knew if they were within arms reach i'd light 'em up. but i started vaping at 24mg. i figured it might be too high but i also felt it'd be better to start high and step down if i need to than the other way around. it was too high and after a few weeks i stepped down to 18mg.

but the most important thing is to be realistic and self-aware. realistic in the strength of juice it'll take to get off the analogues completely ... and self-aware enough to know that you'll smoke 'em if you've got 'em. if that's the case then you need to make it more difficult to gain access to them. that's just my 2 cents in a bucket.

What flavor juice are you using? I would suggest a tobacco flavor at 18mg/ml nic. I like Halo Tribecca. Good throat hit and smooth tobacco flavor with a little sweetness.

Also, how are you vaping? Slow inhales or quick puffs? The lower inhales will enable you to absorb the nicotine better.

Have some Hangsen Gold and Silver,Raspberry and some Orange.

I do a mixture of slow and quick puffs. I don't tend to inhale that much but keep it in my mouth for a fair while. Almost like cigar smoking. Any tips on vaping technique?

Think I'm going to buy some 24mg and see what happens. Recommend a nice tobaccao e liquid?

If you're vaping a food flavor, its only natural to want a smoke after just like you do when you've eaten. That's my experience anyway. As for not enough vapor, your atty could be flooded among so many other possibilities.

I think the flavours could actually be the problem. I think I'm going to switch to a tobbaco flavour. I like the taste of the sweet flavour and I guess my mind then tells me to have a post meal smoke so to speak!!!

    Good idea!

You are right! If I have cigs in the house I will smoke them. Problem is I panic when I don't have any in the house. I think I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and throw all tobbaco away.

Going to order some 24 tobbaco flavoured juice and see how that goes. I think the sweet flavours I've been vaping makes me want to smoke more as it's like I've just had a meal.
