The button broke, and I shorted out the circuitry trying to take it apart. What can I do with it now?

Might make a cool mini-lamp... add LED and shade on top with resistor inside and USB cord out bottom. Fix to a base. Rig on/off switch if desired. Recycle/dispose of properly the battery and other guts. lol.
You can purchase a replacement board from Heaven-gifts. and start repairing eGos.
Probably easier than replacing the switch and fet on the board.
some even use them to make mods with.
There are only 3.2 volt output, but cheap enough, and 3.2 works fine for a lot of people.

You can get the same board from Goodprophets with MUCH lower shipping.
I say, get a $2 aluminum AA cell phone charger on ebay and put the eGo connector on that. I've made a few using cheap tactile switches and they're holding up good. I have 3 of the circuit boards but haven't gotten around to trying them with a 14500 battery yet.
