Well, ain't THIS a kicker? The Specialist's office called this morning to tell me that she's on holidays until July 9th!! She told me to get in touch with my family Dr. and gave me a few other names for her to contact. VERY nice about the whole thing. Then I remembered that today is Friday and my family doc doesn't WORK Fridays!

I'm going to try to call them myself and see what happens I guess...when it rains, it pours...

How frustrating! I hope that the ball gets rolling for you soon.

Hmmmm...considering they pulled up saplings around the downtown core just IN CASE someone thinks that low branches would make a good weapon, I'd say leave them at home.

I just have a question about thi waiting for the Dr thing. Is this to do with Canadian Healthcare policy or something? or just the Oh crap it is the weekend thing?
If i left a message for my Dr and it was serious they would call me back even if it was that weekend. I just don't understand.

Nope, not a Healthcare thing, it's a weekend thing. The one office I called said he was on call and they needed to have a referral to bring him in. Fine. Where am I supposed to GET a referral from? The hospital. Fine, I must've called there 50 times and let it ring at LEAST 40-50 times, no answer.

My Scottish upbringing then snuck up on me. The last time I tried, I was STEAMING. No answer? Fine! Bugger YOU!! SLAMMED the phone down SO hard, Brian heard it in the patio. He was smart NOT to continue after asking me what I thought THAT was going to prove.

Then, I went OUT for the afternoon.

In other words, I tried, no one ELSE seemed to be doing so, I threw a hissy fit and gave up.

I am a firm believer in a good hissy fit! Makes you feel so much better and clears a room like nothing else will! Mike will run to his bedroom or outside when he sees me losing it! Smart man.
I even trained my daughter. When she was very little she would decide to throw a fit..for no reason..just to do it. I would tell her "O.K. little Missy stop being a pill"...and keep walking. Her dad saw her doing it one day and asked what she was doing (it was so fake) so she tells him she is a pill and having a Missy fit!
