Dextrose as sweetener?

Hey all!

Just wondering if anybody has used dextrose to sweeten their liquid? I'm not looking for super sweet, just a touch

I'm thinking it would probably gunk up an atty fairly fast? Any thoughts?

I suspect dextrose would be like sucrose and clog your atty. Usually maltose (also sold as cotton candy flavor) or sucralose is used to add sweetness.

That's what my thought was. Was just curious because I've got a bag of dextrose sitting here! Was going to order some sweetener but thought I'd see if anybody else had tried.

The reason sucralose is so superior to the various sugars is its potency. Because it is 600 times as sweet, it takes very little to do the job. Therefore it doesn't clog up the equipment.
