I've been vaping for almost a year. Started on a blu then figured out it sucked so moved to a joye 510. Been using freedomsmokeusa e liquid but after hearing about diacetyl I found virgin vapor today. I placed an order but what sucks is two days ago I ordered some more eliquid from fsusa,I'm wondering if flavorart and fsusa still have diacetyl. I hope I didn't just blow 25 bucks

Yeah ill probably do that.although who's to say they won't just lie.Alotta people don't wanna think that it could be bad so turn a blind eye to it.especially someone who is making money off it. I hate thinking that vaping could be just as bad as smoking. I don't want popcorn lung. I love fsusa flavors though. I know the diacetyl is usually in buttery flavorart flavors but seeing how most fsusa flavors are complex, buttery flavors could very likely be in a lot of them. But hopefully virgin vapor will be good , ill just only get from them then. I ordered kona cofee milksh.ake, vanilla chai ,strawberry lime and wild berry punch. Y

My fsusa order on the way is vanilla xtreme, maxboro and very berry. I might just sell them once they get in.

I contacted FSUSA and he was really sketchy when I asked him if they use diacetyl. I never did get a straight answer. His answer was, "a lot of vendors use stuff that is way worse than diacetyl." Not what I wanted to hear. Flavour art does use it in a lot of flavors still and that is their supplier. I will not buy from them anymore.

Lots of flavorings have bad things in them. The things that are used to replace diacetyl are sometimes as bad or worse then diacetyl. I thought flavorart was switching away from using any diketones (I think this includes diacetyl) in their flavoring, but I'm not sure about this. I'd contact FlavorArt for this kind of information. Finding out exactly what makes up flavorings is nearly impossible.
In general, rich 'buttery' flavors use diacetyl. The quantities are tiny. Several vendors produce liquid that is labeled as diacetyl free, so if you want to avoid it, you probably can. Though you then have to believe the liquid vendor and the vendor has to get accurate information from their flavoring supplier who often has no idea what their flavoring is made of.

In many people's opinion (including my own) this is not something to be too concerned about, at least not more so then other flavorings. I'd be more likely to switch to vaping only unflavored liquid then to try to avoid just this stuff. But by all means, do some research and decide for yourself what level of risk you are willing to live with.

Diacetyl
.......We realize that for E smokers, our food flavors are used in a different way as they are not ingested but inhaled, and the presence of diacetyl can be a cause of concern.
For this reason we have carried out massive removal of diacetyl from our flavor collection since November 2010 and product still containing it are clearly identified.

Here are the Flavourart flavors to avoid which are labeled containing Diacetyl and/or related diketones.

The List
Barley flavor
Beer flavor
Butter flavor
Cheese Cheddar flavor
Cheese Gorgonzola flavor
Cheese Mozzarella flavor
Cheese Parmigiano flavor
Chestnut flavor
Corn flavor
Cream whipped flavor
Croissant flavor
Egg yolk, cooked flavor
Milk condensed flavor
Milk flavor
Olive flavor
Pandoro flavor
Panettone flavor
Peanut flavor
Pistacchio flavor
Potato fried flavor
Salmon smoked flavor
Soy sauce flavor
Truffle black flavor
Yogurt flavor

If a juice vendor is using any of these FlavourArt flavors, their juice would not be "diacetyl free".

FlavourArt did the right thing in warning vapers which of their flavors have diacetyl and/or related diketones, which is the least that can be done by all other flavor vendors and those that mix and sell e-liquid to the vaping public.

as with most chemicals...large concentrations in confined spaces can cause problems...like automobiles in a garage...but no one thinks twice about walking downtown with cars bumper to bumper...or carpet in our offices...both are highly toxic in either the emissions or manufacture process.
True....but, when vaping your are constantly inhaling the vapor directly into your lung tissue. I would think that is large concentrations.
