I haven't got one yet, but from everything I am reading I think that this is the answear for me. I just wanted to post because my wife seems kind of leary when I talk about investing in one, so I want to be able to find this thread easy so I can have her read it to see all of your success stories, and hopefully mine will be on there soon.
Thank you everyone!!!

within 2 days i cut back from 30-35 a day to 5...stayed there for about a week and then got down to 2 for a few days and then finally was able to stop...i am now 5 days without a analog...smoked for 15 years and this is the longest i have been without a cigarette...taste and smell are already coming back...it is very encouraging...i took the attitude "don't try to force it" and i worked very well for me so far

Thank you everyone!!!

it is definitely worth every penny!!! i will say step right up and go big...i started with a penstyle 801...did ok but the battery thing got really old really fast!! Moved up to a puresmoker protege for better battery life...had manual switch issues and battery life still not what i wanted...just ordered a silver bullet from altsmoke.com today...if i had known what i know now i would have just started with that one and saved a couple hundred bucks...u live and learn! hope this helps!

Had one analog on the first day, one puff on an analog the second day then when back into my office crushed my pack of analogs and literally mashed it into an unrecognizable ball and proceeded to thank GOD for bringing me and e-cigs together.

I smoked a pack a day or more for 30 years and I started when I was 12!!! Having grown up with both parents chain-smoking, I can pretty much say I have been smoking since I was born.
I have tried everything known to man to quit smoking and nothing worked for me. This is an absolute no brainer for every heavily addicted smoker out there.

I find it is a major travesty that the IDIOTS from the FDA, Heath Canada, cancer societies etc. proclaim that "there is no evidence that electronic cigarettes help smokers quit". There likely isn't any evidence if you have your blinders on and don't actually do a survey or ask users of e-cigs. TOTAL INCOMPETENCY on their part and whoever their Directors are should be FIRED!!!

Sorry for the long post and yelling but I just had to vent.

It is by far better than Chantix, that stuff nearly killed me, both in body and wallet. Had the worst gut problems, dreams, moods, only took the first carton...........stayed off of analogs for over 3 months, from shear will, but I did eat, yeow. So this seems to be the ans. so far.

I alternated one E-cig and one Analog for a few days until I could not stand the taste of the Analog... it lasted 4 days... I smoked for 27 years over a pack a day... for the last 20 days I have not even wanted an Analog one... I now have 5 and I just got the new Gemini it's great... I am back and forth between the DEC901 and Gemini... both are great... I have made a kit with extra Carts for refilling, gotten refill juices, Fluval for stuffing... extra atomizers... I'll never go back to Analog I love it...

What's and Ego? New at this.
For the 510 they have MEGA batts, atty, and carts. The battery is 280 mAH or 100 more mAH over standard and looks to be 35mm longer. The atty and cart you need to use together as the longer cart that holds more juice requires the elongated atty. Been considering this as my next purchase soon as they release it with PCC.

The Janty eGO is a bigger PV with a much larger battery think magic marker vs pen. But is actually shorter than a 510. Accepts the 510 atty and carts you already have.

Totally wicked has the janty eGO rebranded as a Titan Tornado.

I am only 56.5 hours analog free as of this post but I already noticed I don't hack up a lung when I wake up. I was coughing quite badly while smoking as well. Reading these stories convinced me to bag up my half carton of remaining analogs toss them in the garbage and be done with them. I don't want the immediate temptation or curiosity to get the better of me later.

Everyone is different so some cut back or fall of the wagon occasionally, and some just stop the day they get the PV. I don't think the PV is a silver bullet for everyone and no one should feel bad about it not getting them off analogs cold turkey on day one. Do what works for you. Try different equipment, juice strength, flavors, or whatever and reach your goals in your time.

I feel fortunate that I don't crave an analog anymore after 16 years. 56 hours without an analog was totally inconceivable to me before I tried my 510. Maybe I'll have some crisis moment later down the line I'll just have to wait and see.

yes, I got my e-cig in the mail July 11th at 12:30pm, put my ashtrays up and gave my lighter away, and haven't smoked tobacco ever since! Even though I smoked close to 2 packs a day, sometimes 3 during the hard times, as soon as I got my e-cig, my new toy, I quit and never looked back..

And I managed to do this even while living with another smoker in the house! Never dreamed it could be that easy!! Before long, I hated the smell and sight of them, and my hubby, (the other smoker), also recently switched to e-cigs..

Every once in awhile, he'd say, let me see that thing, and I let him try my e-cig and after a few times of that, he wanted to take it for a test-run so-to-speak, . So I fixed him up with one he could try out and take with him to work. .Before long, he decided he'd quit too, He set a date and a goal:. that when he reached the end of his last carton, he'd switch to e-cig's. And as soon as he smoked his last cig, that was it! .that's was a month ago today!.

He vaped and smoked cigs too in the beginning, just trying the idea out, so-to-speak, and didn't want to quit, had no plans of quitting at all. .He told me many times, he loves to smoke. .But cut down to 1/2 a pack the first day, and he smoked 3 packs of cigs, every single day. I think that's awesome!!

Just had to try it out and experiment with it for himself first. .
I suppose there are just as many others, who only wanted to "try it out first" and had no plans of quitting, who actually did quit as a result of using e-cigarettes, which I think is a pretty amazing thing!

The best part is, as vapors, we are claiming our health, and taking our lives back. .Which is the best, we could ever give anyone, Especially, those who are closest to us and love us, and would be devastated and broken in two, if anything happened to us before our time..

May God bless whoever it was, that invented these little life-savers!

:)
