Did everyone quit analogs as soon as they got their e cigs?

Got my npro a week ago and I sure planned on having a few analogs until I got use to vaping.... to my supprise, I have not had ONE analog since my first puff of my npro! The npro carts were gross ( too thin and got liquid in my mouth ) but had purchased e liquid 24mg and purchased VG ( vegetable glycrien at walmart USP ) i'm mixing 50 / 50 vg e liquid and vg, then I began adding some lorann (spelling) flavors. I'm testing the flavors so I fill a 3 ml bottle to the 1 ml line of 50 / 50 e liquid and pure vg. Then I add three drops of watermelon or coconut flavor. WOW what an enjoyable flavor and vap this is. I get alot of vapor and nothing seems to be sticking to my atty, it's as clean as the day I got it. I think alot of folks may be trying to suck to hard and over heating the atty. I take like three short puffs and dang near choke from the lung hit... also the throat hit is awesome. I thought maybe the 50 / 50 mix was to thick, but i'm staying with it since the atty is looking super clean and giving me such great vapor. Also I take my puffs not like the old analog cigs... I get a good hit from the vg and enjoy it for a few moments before heating up the atty again..... I got a 10 pack of carts from N Joy but i'm squeezing out their regular blend tobacco and using my DIY mix.... Even if you must have an analog now and then, stick with it.... there are some habits you have to master
that are associated with analog smokes. I feel the urge to go outside but don't need to because I can vape inside... crazy habit! Good Luck and don't give up... you'll be glad you stuck with it!!

i had one last analog the evening i received my first 510. all my batteries were dead or charging and i had an overwhelming desire. i soon learned always to keep at least one battery charged. that same evening i ordered some mega batteries and a passthru. that was was in november and still cig free. hang in there!! i acutally still have 2 packs of unopened cigs. (my security blanket) all kidding aside, when i smell cigs or someone smokes it is a reminder of just how nasty they smell.

I didn't buy the PV to quit, I bought it to replace cigarettes for part of the time, mainly because of the cost, but also because, as an old timer, I was unhappy with how "modern" cigarettes have changed their taste over the years.

My plan was to vape while I worked at the PC then smoke when I was in a position to focus on enjoying the smoke. Thing was that within a couple of days I found my self reaching for the PV instead simply because I preferred the taste.

I wasn't really thinking about it, but then I realized one day that I could not remember when I last had a smoke, Counting back it had to have been 4 days or more before. So I very deliberately lit one, went "bleagh" after a couple of drags, put it out and that was kind of that.

One of the least dramatic moments of my life, and I had been smoking heavily for 53 years.

I have to agree with a couple of others though, I have never believed that nicotine was addictive, especially since I can vape anything from 36mg to 0mg and not really notice, although I suspect that other things put into cigarettes ..relatively recently.. might be.

Congrads on your crossing over to vaping.... I sure don't understand how easy this was to just let a analog smoke go. I figured that the 120 bucks or so that I invested in the kit, e liquid, flavoring etc. was probably going to be just another disappointment in trying to quit the analog habit.
It doesn't even bother me being around folks that still smoke analogs.. I don't even know if i'll have any withdrawls from the analogs.. I don't feel anything yet, other than maybe being able to take deeper breaths or my sense of smell seems to be better even after a few days of all vaping...
One question I have is this.... and probably depending on what vape device a person is using. I am using the NPRO and it seems like if I hold it level when I have topped off the cart with my e liquid all is fine and get a great vapor. Then after several hits and the vapor isn't quite as good, I hold the npro down as I take a puff and i'm back to the max vapor... should a user top off the cart when the vapor isn't such a good cloud holding it horizontal? The npro only holds about three to four drops without pooling due to the tiny carts they have. Well everyone take care and thanks for so much great advice !!

Thanks Scott for the congrats. Like you I really don't mind being around smokers. All the years I smoked, I always preferred my own brand, and was rarely tempted by another one. It feels like that to me. Its not that I "can't" smoke its just that I don't because I much prefer vaping.

As to your question, personally I top up as soon as vapor production begins to fall off because I want to keep the atty wet. With a small cart that can be a bit of a pain. On the other hand, its no more than dripping. It does sound as if at the horizontal position you are getting the top off the cart, then when you turn it down a little you are pulling from the bottom of the cart.

I went through quite a few "withdrawal" symptoms from sleeping, or not sleeping, some coughing, some food cravings etc. and none of them really started for about a month or so.

Again its just my opinion, but I do not think these are really symptoms of withdrawal..or if they are its from something other than nicotine, and while I understand all the theories out there, I think its just the body adjusting and throwing off a lot of different poisons that are in today's cigarettes.

On the other hand I felt the benefits, better breathing, more energy, keener sense of smell etc right away.

Could have quit right away but when I started the fear of the possible ban was going on.:p I suffer from anxiety and couldn't put the nasties down until I was completely stocked up for a couple years. Can't remember when I smoked the last one but I know I tried to take a hit off one of my bfs sometime in September and it about killed me. I had quit cold turkey for alittle over a year before finding out about the e-cig. I only relapsed a couple months before starting to vape. I'll never go back to smoking.:D

5 days. I was a 3-pack a day smoker (Ultra Light 120s). Day 1 I smoked a pack. Day 2, half a pack. Day 3, the other half. Days 4 & 5 a little less than a pack combined. On day 6 I finished the 3 or 4 I had left from the previous day and just made the decision not to go but another pack. After that it became pretty easy.

You need a second battery (maybe a third.) As soon as a battery is drained, put it in the recharger. Then you won't have to wait.

Besides, eventually the battery won't hold a charge and you'll still be able to vape while waiting for your new ones to arrive.

I'm close to quitting, and as soon as I have more than one battery for my m402 I plan to quit analogs altogether. I was nearly at the total-quit point with just one battery, but then it died on me (not a total death, but the charge ran completely out) and I had to get some analogs as a backup. I just want to reach a base point of having at least one battery charging at all times.

Then I'll start really stocking up on batteries, attys, and juice and I don't plan to ever look back :D

The problem is, if you are just putting drops right on top of the filler material that comes with the cartridge, it isn't going to sink to the bottom without a little help. You can use a syringe, the straw modification, or you can use a toothpick or paper clip to push the filler aside a little bit so that it can breath while you are putting in the drops.

Some people use a needle tipped dropper bottle.

And I have found that if you replace the stock filler material with blue foam, you can actually put the drops right in if you tilt the cartridge to the side while doing so, but that is probably a bit more than you want to bite off and chew right now.

After I purchased the smoke anywhere (terrible POS) I didn't quit at all but the day I received my first real ecig the screwdriver I quit and haven't even had the urge to smoke an analog since. I even tried one one night while drinking and couldn't even finish half a cigarette before putting it out it tasted like crap.. I basically don't even think about analogs anymore which is why I think ecigs are the best way for just about anyone to get off those things :D

Took me about 2 and a half weeks. First week I was still smoking about 7 analogs a day (down from a pack+). Second week, I was down to about 3 per day. Halfway through the week I was down to the ever terrible "first of the morning" smoke. One morning I just loaded up my cart with some wonderful bananas foster juice, and that was that :)
