I quit smoking 3 days after getting my 510. I wanted to finish the pack of smokes I had so I vaped and smoked, but I never did finish the pack and ended up throwing it out. vaping does taste a lot better than cigarettes. Sometimes I still think of having a cigarette but I resist the urge. tobacco smoke doesn't bother me and sometimes it even smells good.

Unlike most vapors (from what i can tell anyways), I don't find smoking analogs gross, and I don't stop myself from having a real one if a friend offers, but otherwise I don't even think about it anymore.
I was 100% smoke free for about 20 months from the day I had my first e-cig. Since coming here to China though, I've had an occasional cigarette when offered in meetings or at social occasions. And when testing tobacco flavors, to compare to the real thing, when I could find the same brand here. But compared to the 1-2 pack a day habit I used to have (occasionally 3 packs a day on the weekends) I don't feel too bad about that.

When my first e-cig arrived in the mail on a Saturday, 11 months ago, I still had a full pack of Marlboro reds and a partial with about 5 analogs left. The following Monday ,I gave the un-opened pack to a co-worker and have not had even a puff off of an analog since. This after almost 40 years of 2 packs a day and 10 years of trying to quit analogs. It's the BEST and I don't see myself ever smoking analogs EVER again.

Ya, I got my KR808 in the mail on a Friday a couple weeks ago and still have 8 packs of Marlboros that I havent touched.

I have only had one day that I really wanted one, but I attribute that to the fact that I had no juice stronger than 24mg at the time. The next day I received some stronger juice in the mail and all was good. :)

Well I just started vaping on Thursday night and I haven't even wanted an analog....truly amazing...I never even wanted to quit smoking, I enjoy it way too much for that. I always said I'll quit smoking when I find a way to quit and still smoke, most people thought I was nuts (I thought that will never happen, I'll smoke for life) well guess what - I guess I'll be eating my words.

Good luck to all new vapers. I think I just hit my 1yr anniversary. I used used my last 8 analogs during the first week of vaping and I bought a pack about 6 months ago when I fried all my atties while travelling. I only smoked like 8 of them and gave the rest to a bum that was well .... "bumming" a cig off me.

I am barely a PV owner. I joined a few days ago with the "intention to get one" and was handed one for free by a fellow vaper at a party the other night. He did, however, forget to bring his box of stuff so I could buy some juice off of him and charge this thing. :p

So I'm still smoking analogs right now. I'm waiting until I actually have a craving before I grab a smoke, then the next time I have a real craving I'll vape. I'm smoking slower and not burning through my one fill of juice. :p

I really need to order my own PV. :p

I have not smoked an analog since I started vaping. The first couple of days in, I felt I wanted one but I told myself that the pv was all I had and that was enough to kick the analog habit. 6 months and haven't looked back.

A friend of mine though still smokes analogs and vapes and can't stop analogs so I guess it's all on how you go about it.

I'm sure my post is similar to the one's already here but I wanted to get my first post up and this looked like somewhere I could share my experience.

I was a pack a day smoker for 20 years (damn you don't realize how long it has been until you stop and count). I accidently ran into ecigs at a discount tobacco place down in AL during March of 2009. I went in there to buy a carton of cheap smokes and ended up walking out with an NJOY NPRO kit (at double the price I would have paid for the carton). So all I had the rest of the day was a 1/2 a pack of Djarum black supersmooth and this NPRO. I went out drinking an killed the Dajarums quick. By the time I got back to the hotel I was fiending for a smoke and started hitting the NPRO. I thought to myself that this is a lot of effort to get a decent hit . . . then passed out.

The next couple of weeks I'd forget to charge batts, run out of carts (while waiting for more to come in and end up bumming smokes and eventually went back to full time analogs (really a lot of laziness too). I even went as far as smoking cigs with targard filters to see if I could ween myself off. No luck. I smoked more with targards on my smokes.

Now a few weeks ago we hit RECORD snow on the east coast (DC area) an I ran out of analogs and stuck at the house, so I break out NPRO and my last 5 carts and figure I can get by for a day or so and just keep charging the batts. I planned to grab a pack of analogs once I ran out of carts or the NPRO kicked it. Since I was stuck in the house anyway I called NJOY and asked about expected batt life and vapor production and they told me I must have defective batts and/or charger and THEY SENT ME BOTH!!

So I started wondering if there was anything else out there and what others had experienced with their ecigs and quitting analogs . . . a few google hits later and I end up on this forum. I end up reading a ton of posts and watching a ton of vids.

My wife and kids asked me if I stopped smoking because I guess they haven't smelled analogs on me anymore. I said no, just haven't been out to get any. And honestly I liked being warm in the house too.

I kept reading and decided to try this vaping thing again but this time since I knew what I needed to get by for a day to stockpile and give it one more try . . . but this time based on this foums recommendation with a Joye 510, passthru, pcc, carts, lots of carts, extra attys, juice, etc . . . I figured I'll give this a serious try and if it doesn't work it wasn't due to lack of effort or lack of "tools". So I ran out of NJOY carts by day 4 and my 510 still wasn't here

Then I read about the tip of flipping the filler to get some extra juice and was able to get one more day out of the old carts. Good thing because if my 510 didn't make it I would be off to the store for my smokes but the mail did make it and 510 were in there. I put one batt on the charger and hoped for the best on the other one since it was getting vap'd.

First 510, first vap and I damn near pass out from hitting that thing so hard and getting a Tyson punch to the throat 8-o

I was not ready for that since this 510 manual is a beast compared to the NPRO and a lot less effort to smoke which is prolly why I almost got knocked the F:evil:K out. I haven't had an analog since, not only that but I haven't thought about it either because I was smoking Marl blend 54 and have been vaping Aroma ejuice menthol . .. that stuff is tasty :p

I even did the drinking test this weekend . . . and had a lot of interesting conversations while the blue light was glowing.

So have I quit analogs all together? Not sure yet since it's only been my 2nd week but I can tell you that this forum is a huge help with all the info and especially the support, like this thread. So for that a huge THANKS!

Ok, first post, long post, and some smiley abuse. All done while vaping IN the office :w00t:

I guess I'll just add on to this thread, rather than make a new one....

I've been 'experimenting' with this for about 10 days. It wasn't until 2 days ago that I received my first shipment of real supplies. My porno-smoke is still going strong, but I wasn't able to re-fill it, so I was a bit stuck.

Even with limited supplies I had managed to cut my smoking in half. Down to a pack a day. Ultra-lights. But, if I had 3 packs in front of me, I would smoke them in a day. And I would feel it the next day. A bit embarrassing.

Now I have 2 complete 510's, e-juice, PCC, 2 chargers, and a porno-smoke. Over the last 2 days I have smoked 10 analogs. I'm thinking most of those were in between the time I picked up my order at the post office, and the time I got home to start charging/re-filling. In the time I may have smoked 120 analogs, (at least 80) I smoked 10. That's HUGE for me.

At the moment, I'm really tossing it around my head why I'm bothering to smoke the 5. They have no TH, and don't taste like much. Ultra-light nicotine, heavy on the carpet glue, extra rat poison please.

When I left my house this afternoon I was armed to the teeth with every vaping contraption I have, almost. Why? I don't know. I was always afraid of running out of smokes for some reason. If I was going somewhere, a party or something, I always had double what I could possibly smoke.

So, we had 6-8 inches of snow, and I had my big jacket on, so I loaded my pockets with everything, including a bottle of juice. I was only going out for a few hours. I had 3 fully charged batteries, a PCC, both wall chargers, and 5 filled carts. And an extra atomizer. Really? If I had overturned my car in a ditch I could have vaped for like 3 days waiting for rescue. (I live in a populated area, so I would have to wave the rescuers off)

Yet, when I left my house, I forgot to bring the analogs. That's really weird.
