Did everyone quit analogs as soon as they got their e cigs?

I instantly cut back...a whole lot, but didn't quit. It wasn't until I ran out of analogs that I quit....I just didn't buy any more and forced myself to only vape. That lasted a few weeks until I burned out my last atty right before christmas. I smoked analogs again until I got parts in after New Years and stopped buying again...Now on two weeks smoke free again.

I'd suggest upping the Nic until you are at least a few weeks in on being smoke free, and then start reducing down to a lower strength. I am currently at 36 mg when I really feel the need for an analog and then 18 mg for the rest of the time

I bought my last 20 pack of analogues in October 09 and there are still 15 left, tobacco all dried up now...

When I had a cig after a few weeks vaping it reminded me exactly of the taste and smell when I had my very first cigarette over 30 years ago.
(It amazes me how I'm able to memorise tastes but bloody phone numbers or names... forget it :D)

I could also convince a couple of friends to kick the analogues and they also never looked back from the first day on.

I'm now even less convinced about this whole nic addiction thing. I reckon it's mostly psychological. Me and my 'converted' friend just need that nice drag, throat hit and blow some 'smoke'.

You say you still smoke an analog when your PV is charging, that means you don't have enough supplies. Most of us keep this thing in our mouths like a pacifier when we first start. It took me about a week to kick the analogs, my cuppa coffee smoke wouldn't go away at first.

Grab a few more batts so that you have enough in rotation. I start the day with a higher mg juice just to get nic levels up and can actually vape 0 for most of the day. A lot of it is the ritual. I just found this out yesterday as I had been using the next step down.

Nope - haven't stopped yet but cutting down to half what i smoked before has been a breeze. I'm srarting to crave the taste of the e-cig juices now and less and less the analogs (although there's still something in that smoke I crave but it tastes so yukky getting to it, soon it won't be worth the effort). Some days I smoke only 2 or 3 analogs - one day I can see not smoking any. The 'act of smoking without smoking' part of the ecig is a massive boon and helps with the 'always had one in my hand' thing that lozenges and patches can't compete with.
Not everyone stops smoking the day they get their e-cig so don't worry if you don't either - just replace the one bad habit with this 'better' one gradually at your own pace (as I'm doing) but be careful not to OD on nic (which seems quite easy to do and can be unpleasant -unless you enjoy headaches and bathroom decor.. )
Best of luck to you :)

Yes and it has been easier than I thought.
I'm with you on this, Robin. I've been smoking for 14yrs without missing a day. I got my e cig 4 days ago and haven't had the desire to smoke an analog since the e cig satisfies me enough. 4 days doesn't sound like a lot but I couldn't do 1 day with the patch or gum.

I was done with analogs by the second day and only used a few to tide me over until my first, full DSE 901 kit and juice arrived.

But I have some friends that are struggling and one that pretty much went back to analogs 100%. For those, I feel they need to move into the bigger, high voltage mods but neither wants to deal with the 'overhead' those models require.

You may want to increase your mg's or move up into a higher voltage.

If you're only doing analogs while you charge, heck, get more batts and a multi charger or a usb passthru and vape off the wall outlet until the batts are good to go.
