Did everyones GG's comes shiny?

well, i brought a SSGGTS, but the engraving tube wasn't shiny at all. It was stain with oil or liquid, watever. which took me effort to polish away with autosol.

today my stealth cap finally reached me, and it was badly stain with i dont know what is it. it kinda black and i am having a hard time cleaning it now.

mine came shiny without any stains. heck I still haven't touched the brass part of my stealth with my bare hands becoz it's so unbelievably shiny.

All GGTS are shiny when brand new. These were untouched by polish, glad Bruce doesn't send out stuff like that.

I know and I feel bad for you. I can tell you one thing. If my GG stuff came to me like that I would go wild. That's putting it mildly.

Really easy solution:

Chuck up a toothpick in a Dremel.....use any number of polishing compounds and it will shine up the well. Another option is take off about half the cotton from a Q-tip. Great for polishing in small places

my stealth wasnt so shiny when i got it, and there were black stains in the threads. But it wasnt too hard to clean off with a q-tip... And then I didnt even polish it, still havent since, anyways i think it would get back to its current state pretty quickly anyways. I like your pictures of shiny GGs but mine I use everyday all day and it looks like that. its still beautiful, just not so mirror shiny. My GGTB tho keeps a surprising shine even through everyday use.

alv, the reason that brass cap came not shiny is because brass reacts with air and gets blur. It was a cap that stayed for a long time without use maybe. But if it was unpolished as you think then it wouldnt get shined after using a metal cream. It would stay in a mat finish. But all caps are shined, so dont worry

As for the GGTS tube, it s because super sounds sometimes gives a gold colour to the surface of steel. A dark gold colour. It leaves easy with autosol, its nothing.

Ah, but both of these are in constant everyday use. I just wipe them frequently with a microfibre cloth. I only have one other TS that is only used on Mondays. Its the TMF edition.

Monday is my only day off and my TMF GGTS never leaves the house. I'm the only one that ever sees it except for GG forum members
