Restoring a GG- has anyone had success?

yeah,even though my Storm looks good with brass accent,it sparkles and blind you in its original all nickel livery.

Those are worth taking care of.

Bring back nickel Storms!!!

Yes they are. Excuse the A-2 - old pic. Nothing but GG goes on GG's now.

I could not even imagine a time when you would do anything but GG. Wow, changed my whole image of you!!

I've been watching Chopper's thread. Last time that I checked he was just getting the plating side going. My only hesitation is that plating may make the top look different from the bottom or do both and risk losing the engraving.

I would think the same thing as well. I'm sure the colour might not be perfect but -though I have no idea how he does it - he usually preserves engraving quite well, they usually come out looking better because of the contrast with the finish. He is truly an artist when it comes to finishes.

I've seen some of the work he does.. it's amazing. It's just that the engraving is so worn already it wouldn't take much to make it dissappear. He was really helpful though and gave me some suggestions to try.
