I kept my automatic KR808D-1 connected with a car adapter, in my car - duh - it worked great, until it didn't. I connected it and disconnected it after I started the car and before I turned the engine off, thinking that might be a good thing. Then the weather in the NW got damp and the PT seems to be stuck in the on position. I plug it in and volumes of vapor w/o me vaping on it. I'm thinking it's stuck b/c of dampness? Any suggestions? It was so convenient knowing it was available. (Hope this makes sense. I didn't know where else to post this.) Thanks for any help. Can you tell I'm clueless about how any of this works?

It sounds like the auto switch is stuck and it's possible that cold or damp conditions could contribute to this, but sometimes it just happens anyway.. :(

The first thing I would do would be to attempt to free the switch. Disconnect everything and try blowing and sucking repeatedly through the LED end of the pass through. What you are trying to do is to create enough air pressure to get the switch moving again. You can also do the same through the cartomizer connector end. After you've done this test it - this technique is often enough to free up a stuck pressure switch.

If not, then another method I have heard of, but not used much myself, is to carefully spray a small amount of electrical contact cleaner (this is isopropyl alcohol usually) into the hole on the connector. Swill it around a bit and leave it to drain out. This may help if e-liquid has got into the switch. It is best to leave it to dry in a warm place for a while after you've done this before connecting it to a power source.

Over time I think the silicone diaphragms used in these switches do degrade and at that point, there's not much you can do.
