did I waste my money?

Hi All
I bought a 1000ml bottle of PG nicotine at 3mg.
I am using the e-juice calc to try to make a recipe at 80 VG 20 PG. calc gives me 0 VG results.
Looks like I should have purchased that nic in VG at 100mg not PG at 3mg.

What can I do with 1000ml of PG 3mg nicotine?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Get a more concentrated solution and use what you've got for mixing. Since I vape at 36mg/l I could almost treat it as 100% pg.

Offhand, I'm thinking you got 1000ml of the stuff; not 1000L. That would be one really bottle. You might consider editing the op.

How could I add 97mg to that 1000ml bottle to get 100mg? then I could drop my ratio to 75vg 25pg til I use it up.
Does this seem feasible?

yup you wasted your money, sorry to rub it in lol.. always aim for higher nicotine because you get more for your money, you can always dilute 100mg into more manageable mg later, but more difficult to add/increase it.
you can add pure nicotine (if you can find it) but i don't think that discussion is allowed here (above 100mg) on the forum and it's extremely dangerous if you don't know what you're doing (especially if you get on your skin it is toxic).

i don't know how much you paid, but perhaps consider it a loss and buy 100mg. you wouldn't need 1000ml.. you could turn 100mg 120-250ml into a lot. if you're doing 80/20 you could buy the nicotine in pg then it would already have most of the needed 20% pg.

if you heat up that PG a little (don't know how many hours or temp to use) you could eliminate most of that nicotine since it's only 3mg and just use it as if it were straight up PG.

Playing with the e-juice me up calc. if I enter 0 for nicotine strength juice and 0 in the target nicotine strength box at 70vg/30pg I get 21ml and 3ml respectfully for a 30ml bottle of Strawberry Creme . Will that get me to 3mg of nicotine if I mix this way?
Just trying to find a way to use up this bottle and not waste it.

You could buy 1L of 100mg VG nic and combine the 2, resulting in 2L of 51.5mg 50/50. That could then be mixed down to 3 mg 75/25 VG/PG using VG. That doesn't account for flavor which is usually PG based and would reduce your ratio further from your goal ... but that's better than wasting your money, imho.

Nope, that's a 7:1 mix which would reduce the 3mg that you have to ~.42mg.

I've never mixed any juice so take that into consideration but if you want 80/20 VG/PG at 3mg buy a 1000 ml of VG at 3mg and mix it 8 parts to 2 parts of the PG. That is unless I'm missing something.

Buy 1000ml of 3mg VG and mix it 80/20? You would have enough PG to do that 5 times. Now if you add 10% flavor that would dilute the nic by 10% giving you a 2.7mg mix, 5% flavor would yield 2.85% and so on.

it's totally NOT possible lol... in order for you to get 3mg you'd have to use ONLY pg in your liquid.

The only thing you can do beyond buying stronger nic to mix with it is to use it as is and mix your flavours into the 3mg. 15-20% of flavours added would make you a 2.5mg-ish juice. Can't touch the PG/VG mix either, but I wouldn't call 1l of 3mg "garbage".

Easiest fix is what was said earlier: buy smaller affordable amounts of VG @ 3 nicotine content, and mix 80/20 like you want.

If you mixed it 50VG Zero Nic/50 PG with 3 Nic that might be feasible at 1.5 Nic content but that does not include the added flavor.

But you could buy 250ML to 500ML at a time and just have to do it 10 to 20 times.

0.0 I don't see how that is possible you only have few ingredients Pg, Vg, Nic which is either Vg or Pg based which will go into there respective category when calculated and also flavorings which is also vg or pg. the less concentrated the nic is the more you use of it. I suggest using a different calculator and using Mg instead of ml for the nic. I use

Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators and don't really have any issues I'm sure you can also do the math via calculator on your own it's simple math using percentages I don't know how you'd do the nic though. if the nic is exceeding your 20pg then you can either drop the the Vg as more Pg in general gives a harsher throat hit or as stated buy more concentrated nic or also drop the nic content as well and see if you will like that. otherwise I suggest selling it although I am not even sure if anyone would be interested in buying it if opened as you could have contaminated it

I dont know how much you paid for it, but maybe put for sale in the classifieds? Maybe there is someone that like all PG low nic? If the bottle was all VG , heck Id take it off your hands.

If you add a 120ml bottle of VG 100mg to your 1000ml of PG 3mg you can salvage the whole thing. It would give you a 90/10 ratio at about 13.4mg and could mix up to 30/70 ratio with 10% PG flavoring.

There were a couple of workable solutions earlier. But what I'd do to keep the math simple, is to mix a recipe with 100% VG to 3mg and make the flavoring a 25% stronger than normal. Then mix 80% of the flavored VG with 20% of the unflavored PG and you've got your 80/20 at 3mg.


Edit: I didn't account for the flavorings probably being PG based, so not quite so simple. Need to know the total amount of flavoring you want to end up with to come up with better numbers.

Any solution to your problem will cost you more money so chalk it up as a loss and get 100mg. If your going to be vaping 80VG/20PG get it in VG.
