I will be attempting my first DIY tomorrow, finally got all my supplies, bottles, flavors, syringes etc...
I plan on boiling the glass bottles to sterilize them as best as I can. I have big glass bottles for my nicotine so I can store in the freezer what I wont be using. I have a ton of PG and VG... is it worth storing those in the freezer as well? I know I have to shake up the nicotine well before I use it.. Is there any point in shaking PG or VG? The one thing I wish I bought more of, were syringes. I have a 1, 3, 5 and 10 ml syringe with two 14 gauge needles and two 18 gauge. I have 5 flavors I will be mixing (small batches)... I will dedicate a needle/syringe each for the nicotine, PG, and VG. Will I be able to just rinse off a syringe and needle under hot water to reuse for each flavor? Because I only have 4 at my disposal :/ Maybe I could just use 1 syringe/needle to use for both pg and vg?

I plan on trying each flavor after letting it sit for 3 hours and documenting the taste.. If any taste good without steeping, ill make more to enjoy while setting some aside to see if quality improves as it steeps. I guess ill try the flavors every 24 hours and keep documentation on what day it tastes the best. Perhaps someone out there has experience with these loran flavors and can tell me what to expect for steep time?
Teaberry, keoke coffee, pralines&cream, banana cream, cheesecake (NY). Considering that trying to find vg only flavors seems to be difficult, is it safe to assume that all the flavors I have will be 100%pg (for calculation purposes)?

I coulda sworn I had more questions, but for the life of me, I cant remember them now  I have been studying up in prep for my first attempt all week, yet I feel like I remember nothing lol.

Mix single flavors first. Mix small and start with low concentrations. Don't use/keep high nic concentrations. Read the stickies. Anticipate something eventually will spill (i.e. use a tray). Isolate yourself from interruptions. Practice cleanliness, good hygiene and safe storage. Check your work.

You've got it! Now go! And enjoy.

Use your DIY calculatior, concentrate during the actual mixing of the nic and pg [don't answer the door, the phone, see what the dog is barking at] and follow your basic precautions-you will do fine. I was nervous the first couple of times. Also, if handling 100mg nic makes you nervouse, just buy less strong nic. I only use 60 mg because anything stronger worries me.

Well thanks for the words of encouragement guys :) but I had asked questions in case you hadn't noticed lol...

so... does the pg or vg bottle need to be shaken up like the nicotine bottle before I start? Could the same syring be used in the pg and vg? Do people store pg or vg in the freezer for long term storage(if so, do they need glass containers or can they stay in their bottles)? Would a simple rinse under water suffice to use a syringe in a new flavor? Are the loran flavors I mentioned mixed in 100% pg base? Does anyone have experience with steeping the flavors I mentioned?

Always shake the bottles PG, VG, Flavoring and NIC before each used
You can use the same syringe but rince it under tap when switching fluids
It is recommended to store NIC in the freezer and only keep out what you will use in 3 - 6 month. Glass is recommended but I do also store in plastic.
Lorann and most any other flavor is in PG.They can be mixed in PG/VG or any combination of the two bases.

Lastly stop over thinking everything and let common sense guide you. This is not rocket science. I mean this in a nice way to get you started and increase your comfort level. Your bound to make mistakes we all do and that's how you learn. My first few mixes were bombs then that turned into mixes that were vapable then I went on to make some really great tasting stuff. It's all trial and error and the sooner you stop thinking about it and get to mixing the sooner you will be on your way to vaping nervonia.

What polish are you using? Mine was flaking into the juice, so I switched to tape.

Mine is just some cheap 99 cent polish. You need to make sure the syringe is clean. If it's flaking wipe it down with alcohol first. Mine the first thing I do after I un-package it is put a coat of nail polish on it. One or 2 strokes it don't need to be put on thick. If you keep reapplying it then your using to much and that could cause it to flake as well.
