Did the PS Pen/801 Atomizers change?

I think they're now made with a slightly higher atomizer coil. I too have problems with the newer versions of them...they just don't seem to be good for much other than dripping from what I've seen. I also noticed a slight difference in the size of the cartridges between my original 801 and some others I ordered from myvaporstore.com. They just seem quirky to me.

 Is it just me or is the last order of Pen Atomizers I got last week different then before. The filler of the cartridge gets almost 1/3 of the way pressed into the cartridge. I found in my desk a few shorter "Pen" cartridges and they work much better with the new atomizers.

Hey Guys,

Before roughly 5/8 ... we sold RN4072's. Now, we are sticking with DSE801's because they flat out just perform better on the Prodigy. Thus, the difference in the Atomizer Steel Arch being longer, etc...

I have quite a few RN 4081 atomizers I was planning on using with my Prodigy. What is the difference in performance? Should I stock up on some 801s?

Hey Curtis ... 4081 and 801/4072's are 2 very different animals :)

The 4081 is a PeeWee atomizer ... I prefer 4081's over 103's (which would also fit) so the 4081 is actually the best to use :)

My bad, Steve. I meant to say I had 4072 penstyles. Will those work well enough to get my money out of, or is the difference big enough that I should buy some 801s?

You should be fine :) Never hurts to try! The tolerance on the prodigy posts are large enough to fit RN's/DSE's/Joye/etc... They all seem so have slightly different contact posts, but we managed to make them work.

I am on my 3rd MV Store DSE 801 atomizer. The first one produced lots of vapor and I was feeling pretty good about Penstyle until that one stopped working. The last 2 I have had including a 4 hole just dont work well. The only way I get vapor is by dripping (even if the stuffing is soaked in cartridge) and that only lasts a few puffs until it gets that burnt flavor.

Any suggestions, or just move on to another atomizer?

I have to second the above, 2 of the 801's made nice vapor, the next 2 produced whimpy vapor. The 4072 cartridges in an 801 atomizer created a mess, drowning the atomizer. Having the right cartridges in the 801's helped. I will try another 801 from the 10 I got and hope that it vapors better. I am so spoiled from PS 4072's, they produced vapor like nothing else.
