I upgraded from eGO 650mAH to the SID, also using the Panasonic CGR18650CHs which work great btw. It's awesome. I looked at all the popular APVs including the Vamo, ZMAX, Provari, Evic, SVD, and multitudes of mechs.

In the end I think I settled on the SID because it seemed to give the most bang for your buck, but I'm enjoying it way more than that. Slim form factor while remaining hefty, it's smooth and comfortable in the palm. And dang is that button ever so clicky! I feel like I couldn't have made a better purchase and I wouldn't ever think about buying another APV so long as I don't manage to drop and break my SID. Well, even if that happened I'd just buy the replacement parts off madvapes

All I can say is, "that's turbo-amazing!!!"

I've ordered a SID too...just yesterday. Am anxious for it to get here (hopefully Monday..based on it's progress with USPS tracking..but certainly by Tuesday?!) I'm thinking it's going to work out like I want. I looked at the Zmax mini (still not out of the running) and the MVP 2 (also a maybe, in the future). I even looked at the Evic and the Provari Mini. But for the "bang for your buck" aspect, and also due to the fact I already have several tubes in both 18650 and 18350 sizes that WILL fit...seemed like the SID was the best choice. Besides, I like it's preset to RMS. No fiddling with that setting, anyway. And I've been really curious to try out variable wattage vaping. Arrgh. Going to be a long weekend for me! hahaha!!!

FYI my SID stopped working after only 6 weeks of use, I get a short error with no device on top, or with a device on top, so problem seems to be with the board.

Can't figure it out. Was fine one minute then not the next. This happens about 2 months ago. It now sits in a drawer all lonely.
That sucks___ I hope that it's not the wave of the future..:(

Sorry..I don't do "super low" ohm...can't help with that. BUT!

Just wanted to share that my first SiD arrived yesterday. After a bumpy start getting going (the instructions on the link on the first post are confusing and not good. This one is much better...once I found it I was in business in no time! Smoktech SID Instructions | EZ-Vapes.com - Electronic Cigarettes and USA E-Liquid ) I'm liking this thing a lot. In the 18650 mode is is LOooOOoooong!!!!! Whew! I've had big honking APVs before, of course. Lavafire, Lavatube, Smok telescope, Bolt, etc. But have been using box mods most of this year and it was quite a jolt how long a VV/VW tube mod can be in 18650 mode. I like the 18350 size much better (I have lots of tubes) but of course, the battery life kinda sucks.

I'm finding the menu pretty easy. Have to do a lot of clicking...but it's okay. And the screen menu is easy to read. Nice looking APV! And I love the modular aspect of it!

This happened with mine as well, as well as the one I bought for my old lady. I found the easy way to fix it is to take off the beauty ring, and tap the outermost edges of the top cap with a hammer. all the way around. seems to fix the problem, at least until I drop it again. At that point I just repeat the process. A lot of hassle for an APV, miss my Vamo(RIP), waiting for my VTR

How low has anyone been able to get an ohm reading (resistance checker mode) with this.. I can't seem to get 1.2 or lower out of it..

APV's are designed for "standard resistance" Quite often it won't recognize low ohm's. 1.2 might work but certainly not anything lower.

So I have a Vision spinner 1300mAh and a couple ProTank2's and have been looking into getting either a Vamo or SID, I think the SID has won me over, and I went to my local vape shop today and they have a kit for $85 plus tax, that comes with 2 2000mAh batteries and a charger, and couldn't quite pull the trigger on the deal, anybody have any advice about it? is the performance much better than a vision spinner? and is that a decent price for a local shop? I just need some advice before I take the leap into this new world

That is a pretty solid deal for a SID kit. As far as the performance goes, the SID is a great device. You'll probably see a little bit more vapor and will have a lot of options with the SID. I would recommend it for sure.
