I have a Stainless Steel Vamo and a SID. I use the SID more than the Vamo because it's lighter to carry around when I'm out and about and has a nice feel. That being said if I could have only one of them it would be the Vamo. Why? Multiple battery configurations for one and another reason, with a RSST it just looks awesome.

You rwaly should check out the stainles steel telescoping z max

in my opinion it is a way better than the one you mentioned at the same cost. Check out how nice and beautiful the display is it makes it really easy to read no feeling in trying to remember the codes of an cheap oled screen

Now called the v5 and you can charge your phone from it

EUGENE OREGON >> GO DUCKS!!
I have a smoke tech S.I.D. silver and I love it its a very affordable device and for me has be very consistent and reliable and you can also you evit tube or swap the head if you want a different look or just want to play around with things like I do. I'm very tempted to buy the SVD for 38 bucks from fastech except id ...... if its not what they said it was when I get it. I know people who have ordered dripper tanks from them that were supposed to be name brand but were straight knock offs when they got them. i did just order a NEW RDA: TRIDENT STYLE CLONE - $5.86 so will see how their shipping and whatnot is I might give it a try soon. So its really up to you but i think you would be happy with a SID, SVD ,vamx or a VAMO they are all pretty nice devices my buddy loves his evic also..

Actually, joy makes a ego/mech hybrid. It looks like a fat ego... with a removable 18650... has two modes; one puts out a constant 3.3v (it's joyetech, after all), the other mode just gives the battery voltage.

So it's both a huge, non VV ego, and a mech (not sure if they limit output at all though)

The awesomeness depends on what kind of ohm or power limits it has.

Joyetech makes an 18650 mod called the "eGo-T " (not to be confused with the other eGo-T). The name varies depending on the vendor. It has two parts, the control top and the tube, which comes in different colors and can be swapped out. The tube also fits the eVic. It's selling points are the size of the battery and that the battery can be removed and charged or charged while in the device via USB. The latest version has two output modes, regulated and unregulated, the first version didn't have that. I'm not sure what you mean by "mechanical."

Joyetech 18650 eGo-T 2 Upgrade Electronic Cigarette APV Mod [JOYE18650-2UPMOD] - $24.99 :

I'm not sure what you mean by "mechanical."

A non-regulated, fully mechanical device, like the K100 I just picked up. Basically nothing more than a fancy battery tube, a 510 (in the K100's case) connection and a switch to complete the circuit. You get what your battery gives you, nothing more, nothing less. Nothing there to kill the circuit if the resistance is too low (like my Vamo), etc.

I haven't seen the specifics... but when it is running in the 'full battery voltage' mod, how unregulated is it? Are there any resistance or current limits?

If the unregulated mode is, indeed, functionally identical to my K100... that would be a great little backup or travel battery for someone that uses mechs....

I didn't say it's not a nice little mod. I know people who have them and I've suggested it when it fits what someone is looking for. I asked because a five clicks on/off function, clicks to change output modes, and having a fire button that changes color to tell the approximate voltage left in the battery isn't what I think of as a mechanical. I don't have a mechanical, so I apologize that I misunderstood the definition.

You're right, it isn't a mech. :) but if that unregulated mode only monitors voltage, and doesn't limit anything, it'd be a great battery... and since all the electronics are in the screw off cap, it'd also be a great donor for someone doing a DIY box mod or something... easy to incorporate.

I bought the SID in the satin silver finish from Health Cabin, it feels solid as a rock, (aluminum though, not stainless) and real easy to use. Took 5 minutes to master the fine menu, with an oled screen. I can't find a fault in it, and it looks nice with my Protank 2.
For 30 dollars plus 5 or so for shipping, are you kidding !!! seriously !! hands down a winner. :2cool:

I bought a vamo v3 a few days ago and all I personally can do is brag. While i havent torture tested it The Vamo is preforming awesomely as of today prefer a kanger pro tank 2 on it aesthetically speaking but as far as draw and flavor is concerned i stick with the vivi nova 2.5 its awesome!

Vamo V3 + Protank II here for me, too. I like the Vamo's heft, the operating system is intuitive and easy to use, and the thing hits like a Diesel locomotive. All of the mods mentioned in this thread are great. You won't go wrong with any of them.

That APV just looks a bit overengineered. Heh... when I saw that it had upgradable firmware...

Heh, reminds me of a overly complicated device that the guy from Honey I Shrunk the Kids made...

I'm holding out.
