Overnight. I do have to say that I prepared myself with a back-up system and a touch stronger juice. It gave me the confidence that it worked, and that I would have a spare in case I blew the first up. Having confidence really helped. I was spending about $190 a month on cigs, so that was my initial investment.

It works!

Quit Analogs all together when you started Vaping? If not how long and how many did you smoke till you were off them completely? Thanks for sharing!

Basically within a week; technically I had an occasional cigarette up to a month after, mostly because I still had some left.
The trend seems to be that people who have smoked a lot for decades are able to switch over very fast.

I quit chewing the day I started vaping. Summer of 2013 my family and one of my friends went on vacation. My buddy and I bought Blu cig starter packs. Not even realizing it, I didn't chew once that whole week; figured I'd just stay off of it. Still smoked cigs though. I got more and more into vaping, and finally quit cigs when I got my first mech mod, 13 months ago.

I smoked for 30 years before trying an e-cig from a couple of friends. Knew immediately an eGo wasnt going to cut it. Same night tried a friends Vaporshark and was kinda impressed. Week later purchased a mechanical and orchid tank...

It took me 3 months to quit smoking and lose the urge. 1st month id bum a smoke from a friend and bought an occasional pack....2nd month stopped buying cigarettes...3rd month lost the urge to smoke and cigarettes starting smelling really bad. If someone offers me some good tobacco ill smoke it, but the urge and fiending is no longer there. January will be the 4th month....

Even while i smoked i would go running/jogging....but after the 3rd month there was a great improvement in cadence and endurance....previously it was 3 miles 40 minutes, now its 25 minutes.

E-cigs really do help...

I went to the smoke shop since I was in town and almost out of smokes. There were a few other people in line so I perused the e-cig section. I was sorta interested anyway because my PAD Marlboro Reds neighbor was well into his third month of exclusive eGo'ing. I ended up buying an eGo starter kit and I've had one smoke in the last 92 days. I was almost two months into eGo'ing, but for some reason I wanted to have a smoke with a buddy of mine.

edit/add: oh yeah, the few smokes I had left I ended giving to some old man there that had just bought some Marlboro's. I said, "Here bud, these probably won't be as bad for you". I was smoking NAS Perique at the time..

I wasn't able to fully quit smoking until I had a good cig-a-like, an ego, and a back up for my back up. I was working on an ambulance and as long as I had my nicotine I was fine.

The few occasions that everything went wrong I would bum a smoke from my Partner.

I eventually had a case full of egigs, I would find disposable cig-a-likes on sale for 2.99 and grab a bunch. It wasn't always a good vaping experience but it got me by.

Now I have 2 atlantis tanks, 3 nautilus, 1 mini nautilus, a kanger areo mega, 2 kayfuns, a nimbus and a lemo drop.

2 aspire CF SUb batteries, one CF SUB mod on its way, 2 MVPs, a full sized provari, and itaste VTR, and 2 DOVPO VW one 15watt and one 30watt.

And gobs of old egos, an e-pipe a bolt clone ( still love that one )... an gallons of juice.

I bring a minimum of 360ml of juice out for my 3 weeks offshore, that's the 69$ deal called the rounder from steamjuice.us

I even keep backup juice and gear in my locker offshore just in case, I don't take any chances when it comes to the temptation of cigarettes... haven't touched one in almost 2 years now. Well once when I was totally white girl wasted on vacation in my old home town in florida.

if you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail!

history: smoking for over 30years, smoking over 2 large packs/day. here in ontario canada prices of smokes keeps getting more expensive, hence the reason for wanting to quit, but i still like to smoke.

2013: i tried the nv ecigs from costco, did not work as they have no nic and poor vape

june 2014: got the mvp2 w/the cheap clearos that came w/the kit, had 2 or 3 analogues initially only because i bought menthanol juice(18mg nic) and it didnt go w/my morning coffee, bought some tobacco flav juice and all is good now, i would of bought 24mg nic but they didnt have any but i think it would of been better for me as a heavy smoker as i did have a slight craving for cigs. then i found 27mg nic and all was good.

dec 2014: mvp2 w/nautilus, down to 4mg nic diy juice(no more tobacco flavorings) but i do chain vape but i was also chain vaping the 27mg, not even one analogue in 6 months, i dont even crave for them and i have half a pack staring at me all day in front of my face.

so for those sitting on the fence, just try it, imho dont start off w/those e-cigs you get from variety stores unless you r a light smoker,
buy the right hardware and juice w/the appropiate amount of nic content, initial cost would be the same and/or cheaper than 1 cartoon of cigs.

i cant believe its working for me as i really love to smoke and didnt give a damn about the health issues, it was all about the money.
