Did you throw out all of your analogs when you started vaping?

I bought my ecig kit on a Saturday for my wife and I. We set the following Monday as the day we would quit smoking. So we bought just enough cigarettes to make it through to that day. However, I started using my kit that Sunday and ended up giving mine to my wife and haven't picked one up since. I smoked for 25 years and was at about 2 packs a day at the time I quit. I don't miss them and have not had the urge to smoke. I still go outside with the smokers at work, but just suck on my crack pipe(that's what they call it) lol
4 weeks today! What a wonderful world!

We have a boatload of tobacco over here...stocked up before we went for a visit to our local shop. There's gotta be at least three cigs worth of tobacco in the floor where my husband rolls and packs, too! I'm fully committed and hubs loves it too, but he's a little more apt to go back than I am.

Guess it will just sit here for a while...I sure won't miss vacuuming all that mess if he comes fully on board! I'd LOVE to use it in a decorative way. We shall see...

I smoked 2 PAD (or more) for over 30 years until June 2012. In April 2012, I had a heart attack and had a stent put in. Then I was told I would also need a 4x bypass, which I had in August 2012. I made the switch to vaping in June 2012 and have not had an analog since. I knew I wanted to quit before the bypass because I knew the recovery would be a lot easier if I did, lung and breathing-wise. I had been making my own cigs for about 8 or so years, so I gathered up all my tobacco, MYO machines, tubes and other paraphernalia and gave it all away. Now analog-free for over 13 months and counting. I feel great and my lungs are clear. My Vamo tastes better anyway. :p JD

Know exactly where you are on this. Wife and I started vaping May 1st, 2013 and haven't looked back. I smoked both cigars and cigarettes. We only had a few packs of analogs when we started and trashed those easily. Granted not as much $$$ lost as your carton but what made it so easy was not wanting to add to anyone's pain of such a dangerous habit. Wouldn't wish this for my worst enemy.

As for the cigars, those stayed around until last week. Had my humidor pretty well packed. Thought I'd find an opportunity to enjoy them at later date but, each time thought about lighting one found myself desiring to vape instead of smoke. Knew a fellow who enjoyed cigars but couldn't afford it very often. Gave him all of it last week; cigars, humidor, cutters, etc.

Instead of looking at it as money lost (my case a few hundred dollars), Ive decided to look at it as an investment in my family's future of better health and longer life. Financially, we will save thousands of dollars a year vaping over using analogs. Trash those ugly things and be thankful you've decided to choose a better life for yourself. (Sorry for the long reply.)

Throw them away! Consider this as the last expense you've ever made for analogs and that the carton is empty!
Im in a wierd....situation.

So ive been vaping for about a week and some change now, but i still have a carton of analogs laying around my house. The wierd thing is since im always near my vape i dont really ever feel the need to reach out and light up a real one.

Whats bothering me is the fact that they are there and I dont want them to go to waste...because they are worth $$$$. Im chinese and really hate wasting stuff that i paid money for. Dont know if its in my blood but i just hate to see them go to waste.

what should i do lol??

I decided to jump to a Blu (which I recently upgraded to an SI Volt) instead of buying a new carton. I know myself well enough to know that I would force myself to try to do both in order to not waste money. In your situation I would either try to find someone who can take them off your hands or take them down to your local watering hole and make someone's night. But, so far as the money, it's a loss either way. You MIGHT be able to sell them but highly doubtful and likely illegal. Besides, would YOU trust someone who walked up to you trying to sell you a discount carton of smokes?

I had a brand spanking new pack of camel filters when I got my vape. Once I started vaping, I couldn't quit vaping! After two weeks, even the smell of a cigarette made me want to vomit! I ended up giving my UNOPENED (i say that in caps because I'm proud I didn't smoke those!) pack of cigarettes to a friend of mine. Who is actually on the verge of switching to vaping after trying my husband and I's out for awhile! You can do this! Just give them to someone who needs them! Not only will you feel good that you did a good deed, but you won't have to THINK about that carton of cigarettes! :)

Give them to someone you don't like! :)

I've been vaping 5 weeks and have 3 or 4 packs. I kept them so I could prove that I am in control of what I chose to do rather than using avoidance to help stay off them. Consequently, I'm fine around smokers. Yesterday was funny because we had a BBQ and one of my neighbours apologised when he came near me with a cigarette. It doesn't bother me and I take strength from the fact that it's my choice and I'm sticking to it.

I still have half a pack left. It’s been over a year vaping and only smoked analogs twice. I don’t feel the need to smoke them at all. I have them their for the hard time when I can’t buy liquid and am completely broke. If I had some kind of guaranty I would never run out of liquid or something never happen to my batteries I would toss them out with out a second thought.

Yeah I've done much the same, have the unsmoked half of the last pack I bought sitting on my bookcase. It makes me feel good looking at it, maybe one day I'll wrap it and turn it into some kind of trophy.... but it really does give me a sense of control knowing that I don't have to hide it from myself or throw it away.

I was making my own cigs which was very cheap about 50/month which is actually cheaper so far than vaping. I just used up this am my last tube and I feel no reason to go get more tubes. I still have tobacco and my machine to stuff them. I'm glad I have no more tubes. The 1-2 in the am I have occasionally taste horrible and I always feel guilty after having them. I just today walked by someone smoking an analog and it smelled nasty.
Bottom line is go at your own pace and eventually you want want any analogs or have them tempting you.
