I bought the ejuice, mojito flavor, yuck, but that's a different issue. Anyway, I follwed the tutorials I found online about boiling what needs to be boiled, letting them all dry after blowing out any liquid, etc. I know I did everything right, but I'm wondering if my mistake was reusing old cartridges, or does doing it yourself just seem to suck for other people, too?

I spent a lot of time, and probably $50 on the juice and bottles to store it in, so I have to say I'm a little disappointed. I have since started buying full cartridges from smoketip again till I figure this out.

I follow cozzicon's advice. I use a large needle or paperclip to disassemble the cart, place all the parts including the filler into a glass container filled with 91% iso alcohol and swish a bit and wait for a while (like 5 minutes or so) then I tap everything out and leave to dry for a day or so. Then reassemble and wait for refilling.

Piece of cake.
