I'm about to be a new owner of a silver REO mini. I have been using a Silver Bullet for the last month and liking it, but I wanted something a little more discrete to take to work with me. (The eGo batteries just don't do it for me anymore). Since I already use the Cisco LR306 with drip tip and bring 3ml bottles of juice with me, the mini looked like a perfect match for me. This will be my first experience with a bottom feeding system. Is the learning curve any more difficult than it is for dripping?

Buddy, you are going to LOVE the REO. If you're a dripper, bottom-feeding is tailor-made for you, because you're still dripping, just from the bottom. Welcome to REOville!

Hi Stephen :) Congratulations! I love my minis!

I think the learning curve is probably less difficult that it is for dripping (it's been over a year since I started vaping on a REO so I don't remember dripping anymore :facepalm:). When you get your mod, stop in here or the Lounge and we'll help ya through it. Most of us have found a technique that works quite well with almost all atties...we call it the "blind squonk." I won't bore you with the details because you don't have your mod yet, but it takes almost no time to master and doesn't require you looking at your mod to see if you have enough juice in the atty or not. Just be prepared to have some lower nic juice on hand while you adjust and plenty of water or juice or whatever to keep you hydrated. :)

WELCOME TO THE TEAM STEPHEN

You've made an awesome choice going for a REO. Your not gonna regret it at all. Love my mini's since I can completely palm them in my hand. Also, that 3ml juice bottle will last for a while if your a moderate vapor and if not. It's not an issue since you have an extra bottle with your mod.

The learning curve will be slight. Is it more difficult then dripping? Well that depends on the individual. If the person is used to dripping then it might be harder to learn how to "squonk" since you can't see how many drops are going into the atomizer during that time. Generally, one blind squonk (if you don't overdo it) will be the same as two drops.

The pressure in which it takes to press the bottle is going to be another obstacle. Since overdoing it will fill your catch cup. That will lead to a mess. My recommendation would be to do a blind squonk:

1. Lightly press the bottle
2. At the same time take a light draw without pressing the button
3. Once you hear a gurgle then stop
4. This will be good for about 5 hits before another blind squonk
5. It's best to vape your atomizer dry before putting it into your pocket.

Hopefully, the batteries will arrive beforehand. Although from reading some of the reports on shipping here, I may have a nice looking silver box for a day or two. At least let it be delivered the day the mailman arrives after I take a shower and before I go to work.

Its sounds like you're going to be set for a while now :). With a silver bullet to use for home and the reo mini to be your on the go mod vaping will be good.....that is unless you get the reo fever and want a grand or something lol

Reo's are nice and solid and great for work. They fit nicely into any pocket you have and they're durable enough that no matter what type of job you do you will never have to worry about it. Congratz and welcome to the reo club :)

One problem I see is that it will be even harder to convert my smoking friends to vaping with this setup. Most people I've come across are intimidated by the size of an ego. Something as huge as the SB or not even close to a cig like the REO is even more so. But I will have some nice conversation starters when going out.

Welcome aboard.

I know you said you were into the 306, but you owe it to yourself to give a carto a try on the REO, especially if you are concerned about the learning curve. It's hassle-free and very consistent.

I have a few blank LR dual coils cartos lying around. What kind are best for the REO?
