i hate to talk trash about any of the companies distributing our gear, but i need to get this off my chest. started vaping with a 510 protoge setup abot a month and a half ago and fell directly in love despite the switch being fiddly.

as a newbie, i burned up my first 2 atties from me screwing them on too tight and burning them too long. i'd heard 'dietsmokes.com' was a reputable dealer and had the 510 manual red scorpion kit sent out next day ups for an additional $26. i received the automatic battery version of this kit. the reason i can't use the auto's is that they go off in my pocket and are constantly on at rock shows or if i'm at band practice, they can not be in the same room as the low bass frequencies trigger them to be constantly on.

i've sent dietsmokes 2 emails to correct this and have heard nothing, so i'm now letting all of you know that you may need to beware when ordering from them.

i just wanted what i ordered and have received no help from them.

anybody have a fave distributor for 510 starter kits? i have dozens of friends who are ready to order, but i won't recommend someone who won't stand behind their products once they get your money.

in the spirit of fairness, i'd love to hear a response from anyone at dietsmokes.

I keep reading these same stories over and over and over again....

I had a similar issue with an order.... 5 emails, 2 ticket requests and no response....

He seams like a nice enough guy but the customer service after the sale is simply horrendous and for the most part, non existent....

I can tell you that without a second thought, I will NEVER place an order there again...

My first 510 was actually the scorpion starter kit from Dietsmokes, and I was pleased for sure. 1 of my 2 attys just went out from normal use - a great 6 month run.

That's all irrelevant though; I'd be frustrated if I didn't hear back in a reasonable amount of time either with dead pieces. Hope it gets resolved.

Meanwhile, Cignot is great.

I'm a fan of Totally Wicked when I have the extra disposable income; there's no getting around that they are higher priced, but I love the support and the sexy packaging.

thanks for all the feedback. i was wondering if i was alone in being slighted.

i just ordered a bunch of juice from cignot and was super stoked on them.

when i ordered my protege from puresmoker, they forgot the batteries, but sent them out immediately, no questions asked, when i let them know.

i didn't realize the starter kits at cignot were so cheap. it's clear who i will be recommending in the future and doing business with

I purchased my first e-Cig from DietSmokes recently. Had a few questions pre-purchase so I emailed them and got a quick response. Wanted to ask a few more questions so I asked him to give me a call - he did within minutes - and answered all of my questions very professionally. He even said he would "toss in" a couple of extra flavors for me to try - cool.

So, I got my order, but the freebies didn't make it into the package - no big deal, not worth crying about. But then I emailed a couple of other questions after that and no response, to any of them. :(

I am not here to talk BS about them. Maybe there were problems keeping him from answering emails... for a few weeks...

I would not have a problem ordering from them again. Maybe he will get back to the emails after seeing this thread. Hope so - He seems to be a decent guy.

If not, there are PLENTY of places selling this stuff...

I ordered an Ego from Dietsmokes Saturday 2/20, and they shipped the following Monday, via USPS with tracking number. Something went wrong with the package, and it was returned to Dietsmokes as undeliverable as addressed. I sent a message through their website on Thursday 2/25, and was answered within a few hours; They would look into it and re-ship as soon as it was returned, plus he would throw in some extras for the inconvenience.

I received notification of shipping Friday afternoon, via UPS with tracking #, and he upgraded it to 2nd day air at his own cost. Received the package yesterday, and I can tell you all honestly, he definitely threw in more than just a few extras.

In my limited dealings with Dietsmokes, I have had nothing but top-notch service so far. I hope this continues, and for now, I have no intention of looking elsewhere to satisfy my e-cig habits.

NEVER again.....
THIS is looking like a disturbing trend with dietsmokes!
I ordered :
a Vaprlife VP2 'base kit',
5 "Spade" 510 attys, and a bottle of liquid.

When I got the package, there was NO VP2 Base Kit,
(I mean REALLY...how do you forget to ship a $115 item???)
AND - he sent the wrong attys.
The ONLY thing he got right - was the liquid.
Emails = no response
Opened a 'ticket' = no response
I PM'd him here....got a response indicating he was gong to
take care of the problem.
NO further communication....no package....NOTHING!

I'd have been "kinder and gentler", but seeing other peoples experiences,
I'm seeing that mine was NOT an isolated incident.

I have moved dietsmokes OFF my 'preferred vendor' list...
he's now on my "other list" !

(((Makes me want to fly to Texas and file in small claims court!)))

Dietsmokes has the worst customer service of any company I have dealt with:mad: Little - no response to emails or PM's, incorrect orders, and phony parts8-o

In short, avoid the headache & don't waste your time with them, there are too many good and reputable sellers out there...

I'd dispute the charge with my CC company... That's almost to the point of theft if the product was not shipped and they have fallen off the planet as far as responding to / fixing the issue...

A similar incident happened to me.... He even went so far to tell me "It went out today" That was a month ago.... No response and no item....

Oh well.... Lesson learned.... I wonder if the ECF has some sort of sanction system for sellers who act this way?

I am sure he will ship the items.... The problems arise if the order is incorrect or if you have a DOA item or if you need to warranty an item...

He is great at making the original sale.... Just don't expect much (or anything for that matter) after the sale...

Kris

Thank you Kris, eases my mind somewhat.
I can get the parts I need for the eGo at Janty if need be I guess.

Okay after reading this I am kinda freaking out!!!!
I just ordered 2 ego's
Payed by money order, because I was having trouble with his site taking CC.

you might want to talk to some one on that. I recall a poster saying that they did money orders cause if things weren't on the up and up it was some type of fraud. might be worth looking into.
I do know that if it is fraud and it goes over state lines in this case by mail it goes federal.
