I use a mixture of carto tanks along with some Genesis style rebuildables. Nothing really beats the ease and durability of using just a carto tank. I never have to worry about it leaking and it is consistent. I have a ZAP(Z-atty Pro, Genesis built for the Provari) and I find using carto tanks more since I bring my Provari to work and the Genesis tend to leak of you put the PV on its side. Plus the Zap is a bit heavy. I also have a Lavagen and I am still playing around with that to get the same performance compared to the Zap.

I do like the phiniac tank, they are pretty! But with that price i really want to find one that I like. So far on their website i havent found one just yet.

What did you mean by "You can often get more life out if the head, but...". I already ordered the vivi, thought i'd try it since its only 10 bucks. i did hear about the flavor being muted on them, well guess i will get a chance to experiment for myself.

I have decided to buy a provari, now the question is....which color.....?

What I meant by more life out of the head is that, because there is no polyfill, they can be dry burned, rinsed, and reused for as long as a month, while cartos don't last as long and can't be cleaned as easily / completely.

Yes! Pre-fill the carto, as you would a normal carto, put it in the tank, fill the tank up, slide the carto the rest of the way in and blow it out on a paper towel. It's a lot easier than it sounds.
I do hope you like the Vivi, it's a really neat setup, but for me it just wasn't "it".
For now I am using these tanks, Dual Coil 510 Tank Cartomizer, Blue, they work, just don't look real nice.

Dang, i was really hoping i was wrong :glare: I am not that old yet but sooner or later I dont know if i can still fill the carto without spilling the juice all over :D

Thanks you guys for all the great info, very helpful info indeed. So many choices, so many options.....

For those who mentioned the genny, so how much around do they run? My ideal setup besides good tasting will be something that wont leak, ease of refilling (if i dont have to fill up a carto that will be fantastic), and hopefully something that looks good..

The only genesis I know that doesn't leak from an open fill hole is the Cobra. It will only start to drip from the wick when it's fully saturated. Most other gennies will leak on it's side. I can hold my Cobra upside down for 20 seconds plus with open fill hole and no leakage. It is pretty expensive now since VAT has been added. You can find it at Alba Vapours or Phiniac.

The ZAP looks beautiful on the Provari, I'd have to say as far as looks thats at the top. But flavor wise is going to be best, imo with a genny. You can always try a clone out for cheap such as the AGA-T.

I'm a provari mini fan myself other carto tanks I'd recommend would be phiniac, and big mamma tanks but you won't get the same streamlined look.

If you want to brave a rebuildable, like a genny or bottom feeder (never buy cartos again) let me know but they cost more upfront for good ones, some cost more than the provari. One step at a time is advised unless you're nuts like me and just want to get the best right away risks and money be damned.

I looked at both phiniac and lil mama, i actually think they both look pretty nice, just pricey... Well im not really nuts :D so will take your adivce just taking one step at a time. I plan to just use my bloog cartos with the provari to start, i also have the vivi coming so will play with those two, while doing research and see what other parts to get.

I live in the US so i guess i should pick phiniac. Went to their site, looks good, a little pricey, but sold out.... Is Zap same as Zen?

Try about 4.9 to 5 volts is you want it around 10 watts or 4.7 for around 9. What MrKV said would probably work better if you did not want to start out at the Voltages I mentioned though.

Ahhhh, yeah in one of the pictures i see Zen in the picture but the text says Zap, got me a little confused. Thanks MrKV. The ZAP looks good, will put in on my list while i keep looking for something pretty

The ZAP(Z-Atty Pro(Z=Zen, Atty=obvious, Pro=Provari)) So when you mention ZAP, it is implied that it is the Genesis atty Zen makes for the Provari.

Yes, filling the carto is still needed. You would just be pushing said carto into a tank. It has to have a hole on the side for the juice in the tank to fill it though once you everything put together.

The ZAP says "Zen~" on the top cap but it is not known as the Zen.

To clarify as I understand it: Zen is the maker. He makes several different atties, which all start with ZA followed by a letter indicating the model.

For example:

ZAP = Zen-Atty-Provari (made especially to fit the provari)
ZAU = Zen-Atty-Universal (generic model)

OMG GUYS, wasnt expecting it but I got the provari today!! And the vivi nova was also in the mailbox. Like everyone else I was really excited to try all the new stuff, wow so much to try super pumped!!

Put my bloog carto on the provari first, oops it tastes burnt. Refill it and was better, but was I thrilled, No.

Fill up the VN, put in on the provari. Love the ease of filling, Tilted it up down right left and so far hasnt spilled, played with different volts, vape, hmmm, same juice tastes different, so was I thrilled, No.

If i compare the two setups, i will have to go with the bloog carto. I dont like how the juice tastes with the VN. It could be because the juice has always taste like this, but with the carto, it tastes a little different?? I dont know, but anyways, i like the bloog carto better.

So in summary, the provari seems sturdy and looks good, works fine so far but i just wasnt feeling like woooooow i am in heaven :( So far my take is, my vaping experience with the provari is pretty much just like my bloog battery, the up side with it is i dont have to buy so many bloog batteries.

I am still open to suggestions, or maybe i am doing something wrong thats why i dont get the aaah moment like everyone else. For one, the throat hit wasnt really there, raising the volts just make it warmer but throat hit wasnt improved.

I was the same way at first, give the Provari a few days. When you hit it while the light is flashing and it hits just as good as the first hit, then its dead, it makes more sense! Try turning the voltage down as well. That took me a bit to figure out as well. You get what you set it at, not some arbitrary number the software thinks it should put out. I went from 4.5v on my LT to 3.8v on my Provari.
I'm no help with the Vivi's, they don't work for me either.
