Oh dear God, please don't let the signal to change the batteries on my Zmaxes leak. I think that would create an awful mess.

Unless of course the signal to change means change devices because the battery is leaking, in which case using the same leaky batteries in a new device will also cause the dreaded signal to change leak.

I think your logic is flawed there Steve. If you put those same leaky batteries in a new device, and that new device is a Provari, you will stop any and all leaking immediately, forthwith and post-haste.

Of course the provari has the highest quality signal to leak indicator but it is never necessary.

Woo hoo, now all I have to do wait for the Provari to arrive, then when I get my leaky change battery signal from the Zmaxes I can use the batteries in the Provari, provided that only my button top batteries leak that is. I knew there was a reason I ordered the Provari.

No the battery is not leaking. Any tank I use on the Zmax will start leaking when it's time to change the battery.

Out of curiosity do the people of these forums make it a habit to make fun of things people say if they don't understand their meaning?

I reread my original post. In my head it made sense.

We're just teasing you Scandalex, I meant no offense.

I have a Zmax with no issues at all - if you are getting juice leaking on the battery terminal it's usually the clearo or tank and not the battery you are using it on. Post up some more details and we can help you trouble-shoot it if you like :vapor:

Considering it's a battery, I think I would rather have a leak than a smoke signal.

That is really odd, maybe someone can shed some light on that. And thank you for clearing that up, you had us confused at first.

I apologize. Your post did make sense, but the way it was worded could be read differently.

Like: The panda eats shoots and leaves. It can depend on a comma or if the panda has a gun. We're just teasing you.

Tis also the difference between helping your Uncle Jack, off a horse, and helping you uncle jack off a horse.

Without a comma it could be Bonanza or Brokeback Mountain...

I think it's leaking before the battery needs to be changed, but that's just when you notice it.

And we were poking gentle fun at the premise you posted, not you. But as I said, no offense was meant, and if it was taken then I am sorry.

I have no experience with the carto tank so I can't comment - but by the fact that you said the EVOD never leaks, I think we can rule out any fault of the zmax. It's just a bit strange, if you can't figure out why things are leaking on the zmax, it doesn't matter what battery you put them on (like say a provari or something) it will still leak and you'll still have the same issue.

Not the case. It's only when the battery needs to be changed. I'm constantly using it so things like this I pay attn too.

Hmm, well in that case I'd say you are letting your battery get so low it can barely burn the juice on the coil - so then all it does is act like a straw just pulling juice into the air flow. When you stop drawing on it, that juice then drips down on to the battery.

If you try changing your battery out before you get the battery low indicator (6 clicks gives the battery voltage) then this may avoid the issue. I usually change my battery around the 3.7 mark or when I notice a significant reduction in vapor.

Honestly, if you ran your Provari down to where it shows low voltage you are probably going to run into the same issues. I'm just informing you, you do what you need to do my friend.
But by running the voltage so low, it's not providing enough power to the coil to vaporize the juice. So all you are doing is drawing liquid into the air tubes. So then, when you stop drawing on it, the liquid then leaks through the air paths down onto the battery terminal.

It's not a function of the Zmax (or any other battery) it's just that the battery can't provide enough power to vaporize it.

Also, there are ways we can try to help you with the airflow on the other clearo too - if you want to work with it. I am not an expert with that particular brand, but I know some in this thread are. At the least you'll have a backup clearo and battery that gives you a decent vape.

Not sure where I saw a toothpick trick (plug some of the airflow) but I might give it a try tomorrow.

I've never seen a Puritank in person. I don't know what the bottom is like, or if this will work, but I use these on my Protanks to restrict the airflow. The holes fit perfectly around the screw and can be layered depending on how tight I want the draw to be.
