whats really kewl is that nearly all our mods put out more watts than a standard CB radio
In the Bizarro world of YiHi, where time is measured in yards and miles, and left/right is what's measured with a clock, this might be true. In the real world it's not.So they were using joules instead of watts to be able to claim that their technology was different, yada yada yada. From this I inferred there is absolutely no difference between watts and joules. It's just a different measure for what is essentially the same thing.
Watts and joules are like miles vs miles per hour.So i have a IPV 3 LI and unlike most devices in temp mode it reads in joules. All the nickel coils i use on it are rated in watts so my question is what is the difference?
And companies are mis-using "miles" when they clearly still mean to say how fast you are going, not how far you have gone. Or, will go, since you're setting the "miles" before you even engage the device, and for it to actually do that, it would have to know the future, in order to know how long you'll engage it so it knows how fast to set your speed at so you will have gone the right distance after you decide to let go.Watts and joules are like miles vs miles per hour.
I find Deepak Chopra both hilarious and mildly annoying, but I know there are people out there who actually admire his "wisdom". For all I know they even waste their time trying to understand what he's on about. What's inanely hilarious about these type Threads about Joules and the Concept thereof is it may start as Someone's honest quest to educate and gain some "understanding" but quickly turns into a Hater-Fest.
The skewing of Facts & Law to justify a contrary Bias is as incredible as it is entertaining.
*Disclaimer... I don't completely understand it myself. However, I'm not one of those who take the "Pitchfork & Torch" Posture when I don't. I personally refuse to demonize or blame a Concept or Device for my own Ignorance.
That would be "Unwise"![]()
The only way it makes sense is hinted at by how you explain it ... after a certain number of joules it goes on more of an auto-pilot based on temperature setting and what has happened so far. The other thing is that constant power flow, short of protection, isn't really ideal with TC anyway, or is only one limitation. At the first instant of fire, the mod is deciding how much voltage to start off with, how much power only if resistance stays constant, which it doesn't. It's wordplay but its says watts isn't the right word either.I still have no idea why some mod show joules; if they are using the term correctly then maybe it stops firing after delivering the specified amount of joules; if they use 'joule' when it should be 'watt' then i have to wonder what else they got wrong.
I'm waiting for a mod that measures in British Thermal Units.
100 joules = 0.094781712 BTUI'm waiting for a mod that measures in British Thermal Units.
That... and Temperatures Values should be Expressed in Kelvins.
