So I'm vacationing in Las Vegas, and ended up swooping on a Maraxus mod with a Nimbus Atty. Does anyone know the differences between the real and the clone maraxus?

I've heard with some of the clones (not the fasttech mystery meat), it's crazy spot on.
Someone told me if you took an authentic, and a clone, and mixed and matched the parts blindfolded; you'd never be able to differentiate and re-assemble the authentic 100% again.
Hearing this makes the Maraxus one of the sadder clone stories. It makes me wonder if the thing was manufactured in China in the first place, and it prevents me from ever really trusting to buy an "authentic."

Why do you always have to use negative FT connotations?

If I did replace the main tube, would that alter the conduction profile of the circuit?I can vouch for "cheap gold plating wears off"
the plating on my main tube has already worn off, and it's been less than a week. Looking to find a replacement with higher-grade brass, no plating.
Under the gold plating there should be a layer of nickle, then copper, then brass.
$ 135 bucks difference?
Plating wearing off is one thing, but plenty of reputable clones out there don't have that issue. Part of the reason I avoid FT.
Yes. Clean and check every connection.Sure, but in less than a week?
And TBPH for some reason it is now misfiring A LOT. Was fine at first, great. Now not so much. Is there something I can do to fix this; is getting to the point where I'm expecting it to NOT fire.
