Ok so I am coming up on my one year anniversary and I have been putting back money for a while to get me a new mod to celebrate. I currently have been using a Vamo 2 since Jan;

My question is beside the build quality is there any other major differences between the 2? Does a Provari provide a better vape and why?

Its just hard to justify this much for one mod when I have been happy with the Vamo. Any and all opinions are appreciated!

Thanks!

I've used neither so I can't speak from experience but as I understand it both devices are built well and offer many of the same features. I just took a quick glance at the speaks and they seem rather close as far as performance, so it just comes down to do you want to pay they price for a Provari that may/ may not be better than something different.

My humble option of course.

You are getting ready to start a war fool!!!
But all joking aside the Provari has a huge following and would not have it if it did not live up to the hype
I cannot justify spending that much on a mod like that though and I would rather use the Vamo as a daily device.
In the end it is your call. I will say that Provarians are fanatical in their devotion to their god ProVape so be weary of them.

Tis true, I've seen it happen. I just meant that at the end of the day a vape, is a vape, is a vape. Whether its on a $200 mod or a $20 mod, just depends on how much you want to spend to get even ounce of performance out of your device.

I've got my SVD and MVP 2.0 and I'm really happy with them both and together they cost less than one Provari (yes, yes before anyone says anything I know that's because the Provari is better quality and isn't made in a sweat shop in China).

Any who, there you have it. Your choice home slice!~

Oh man. This thread comes up almost weekly it seems.

The short version is this. They are both battery tubes that allow you to change the power going to the topper of your choice. Voltage and wattage change are directly related to one another - different factors in the same calculation. Change one, and it changes the other.

Enter the "wattage is far superior" people. They will keep you entertained for about the next 10 pages.

Then enter the "Provari is the only logical choice, and all other mods are inferior" folks. That should be good for another 10 pages or so.

Both the Vamo and the Provari will heat your juice at the desired power.

The Vamo is less expensive, and is of a lower quality, both in general build quality and the quality of its electronics. The Provari is probably the most robust regulated mod on the market. It's significantly more expensive, comes with a warranty, and is made in the United States, if you care about that.

DISCLAIMER - I try to buy gear that is going to last and work well, which is why I own a Provari. A lot of people dig the Vamo, but they also tend to break, and in my line of work, it is prudent to buy stuff that is going to be as durable as possible. As far as regulated tube mods go, it's perfect for me, and I am unaware of any other regulated tube mod that is as well made.

I now use it as a resistance tester for my coils and haven't vaped it in a few weeks because I moved on to Reos, but that's another story altogether.

Happy hunting.

The provari is solid, consistent, and dependable. You really don't have to worry about it crapping out on you. If something does happen you can send it in, because it has a warranty.
It really is a great device with great support to back it up.

I've never tried the vamo, so I can't speak to its merits, but I see posts all the time about how someone's vamo broke, or they stripped the threads, or it turns off/changes settings on its own.

Really it depends on what's important to you. There's plenty of info on each device floating around. Check out the sub-forums for both.

That being said, my provari is now a backup to my REO grand.

I think I'm a rare breed... I own both.

I have 2 vamo V3s and 1 provari.

Provari, compact (not a mini but it is shorter than a vamo), well built, magical threads (those that have put a battery cap on know what I mean), nice consistent vape, single button menu

Vamo V3, long magic wand, reasonably built, 3 button, easier to change voltage/wattage on, easier to access battery and ohms, good vape, but to be consistent you will need to up the volts as the battery decreases, but it's easy to do, just remember to lower it again with a new battery.

I like them both. Economics wise? 1 provari=5 Vamos. My dream mod? A Vamo built like a provari :)

The provari is strictly dedicated 510 and thats not something I'm a big fan of regardless of price. Ego threading is nice for a little variety. My buddy loves his provari over his v2 and v3. I can say he got the v2 and v3 for still less than his one provari.

They make adapters, Yes?

For my one year celebration I decided to go in a different direction. I got a Reo.
