Topic going off the tracks..... Quick abort before someone mentions the star thingy again....

But seriously OP you get what you pay for, I would rather have 3 Vamos then a Provari. Even though it is on my wishlist I may never get one because of the steep price. I have a MVP that I love as well and An Evic Intelligent. I could have not bought all of them and gotten a Provari but I chose not to because I love having lots of cheap toys just incase I do something stupid like use it as a club one day... I am not sure the Provape warranty covers that...

The provari is strictly dedicated 510 and thats not something I'm a big fan of regardless of price. Ego threading is nice for a little variety. My buddy loves his provari over his v2 and v3. I can say he got the v2 and v3 for still less than his one provari.

I have a 510 to ego adapter why don't you?

Even if the warranty doesn't they will fix it cheap.

I might be doing a double at work right now and I laughed to myself when I typed Provarians.... The simple things in life keep me sane

Or is it the Insane things in life keep me simple.... Gonna have to figure that one out later

Sorry for the intrusion, but it's "ProVarinati."

Vamo V3, long magic wand, reasonably built, 3 button, easier to change voltage/wattage on, easier to access battery and ohms, good vape, but to be consistent you will need to up the volts as the battery decreases, but it's easy to do, just remember to lower it again with a new battery.

Hey Mike why don't you just set it for watts then you don't have to mess with it:)

My first mod was a Vamo 2. i loved it....still use it sometimes although the threads are trashed and nothing sits on it straight and true. This started happening rather quickly. There has been some on/off issues as well as some self power adjustments....not really a big deal. Its very easy to use. I also have a Provari. I love it...

Generally I use a car battery connected to a vortex generator, looped through a power booster with a bilge pump feeding into a garden hose as my all day device. When thats down, I use a Provari. They are expensive and I don't expect it to break anytime soon. Vamo's are a steal and I would expect them to break eventually. While they work, they work great and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Im not a Provarian, although I love the term. This thread has been hilarious and I'm glad it's still peaceful so far! I haven't experienced any buyers regret from buying a Provari...I did experience it from my first Vamo but that's because it started acting up after a month. Realistically, if a Vamo lasts 2 months, it already paid for itself. I love em all!

add it all up. How much have most spent on cig-a-likes, ego style batts, cats and tanks, trying to find that perfect or at least satisfying vape? I did the math and discovered I could of had a Provari. Also one must consider, Once you have your new pvd, whatever one chooses, you are still limited by the tank, carto, atomizer that you are using to create your vape. That's where it can get really expensive and make the battery device look not that expensive after all.

Do I own a Provari. Yes. Was it worth the price? Well was the two large you blew at the games table worth it? Was that night out on the town worth the 2 or 3 bills you spent. I still have my Provari and have been analog free for 5 months and counting. So yeah, worth the price of admission. Very happy with it. Wish I bought it to begin with and saved time, money and trouble. lmao

Even with watts it drops off as the battery discharges... and you can dial in better by .1 volts vs .5 watts. I started in Watts... I thought the world of Watts... but have switched to volts.

I've seen a ton of threads about the Vamo threads being terrible after a few months,,,,,

that said, it's a great bang for your buck, and I'm expecting one in the mail any time,,,,,,,

having said that, i ALSO want a device I don't have to worry about,,,,,,one that can take a licking and keep on ticking, that won't break or cross thread easily,,,,,,,will do what it's designed to do well and be cheap and easy and FAST to fix,,,,,,,,,,

that's why I'm getting a provari after Christmas,,,,,,,

next up,,,,,,,,an REO. Until then, the Vamo will play runner up to the Provari (back up)

Im not even falling into the *vs* arguments. all it takes is a trip to the vamo and provari subforums to see what your getting for your money,
I have a provari. one of the best mods i ever owned and wish many things in life were built like this.

I also own nivel and mech mods. love them too.

but it still doesnt deny the truth that he provari is just built like a tank, never falters and 1 1/2 years later proved to be worth every cent after several dozen trips to the tile floor from my desk.

so far vamo is already on revision 4 and its just now coming up on 1 year old in a month or so. hard to judge longevity when there is a new version every 3 months.

I have 3 Provaris and two Vamos. None of them provide a better vape than the others. What the Provaris provide is higher quality. The 510 threads on my first Vamo, bought about 6 months ago, have flared out, and nothing will tighten down on it until the last thread or two. Pretty much unusable. My original Provar, bought in March of 2012, has had zero problems.

That being said I use my Reo more than all of them now, so it's a moot point. My daily rotation includes my Reo, one Provari, NES DNA20 mod, and an EHPro EA clone. The Reo is in my hand 70% of the time. I may have been a devout Provarian at one point, but now I'm a Reonaut.

I would wager that one ProVari would outlast the 3-4 Vamos you could get for the same money. ProVari in its largest configuration is also smailler than the same size in the Vamo. Build quality is better with the ProVari. ProVari has a warranty and repair options. And a better chipset. Sorry, no brainer for me.

The threads on the Vamo is an issue. I have the V3 and nothing would sit straight on it plus while screwing in tanks the last few twists seemed a little rough. I screwed on an ego cone until it touched the top ring. Now all my tanks sit straight and it seems like they make a perfect contact and then stop with no rough feel on the threads.

Kind of a blurry pic but you get the idea.

Again, it's only a "no brainer" after having both. Vamo is a great device to start into the mod world. I read all the comparisons when I still used ego batteries. I knew Provari would outlast Vamo. I told myself I'd be real careful screwing things on...mine will last forever and I'll have $120 bucks left to buy other stuff. Well, It didn't work out that way...but here's what did happen:

I bought a Vamo V2. It arrived quickly with charger, batteries, 2 Vivi Nova tanks, some extra coils...etc. I was excited. Charged the batteries, filled up a tank, checked the ohms, set the watts and took a vape. It was unbelievable. I was hooked! I smoked 2+/- packs a day. In atlanta thats about $10 a day. I spent $60 on the kit. If that Vamo only lasted a week, it would have been worth it. It still works several months later. More importantly, I didn't smoke cigarettes anymore. I still don't. A Vamo is an extremely affordable way to find out if mods are for you. I love vaping and I love the stuff. A Provari is a really nice, reliable device that I use everyday, all day. It's never let me down. I would still be using ego batteries if there wasn't something like a Vamo to show me what vaping COULD be like. I'd have never spent the money on a Provari if I didn't already know mods were the way I wanted to go.
