Oh.... the Vivi's had to go too. Cartos, tanks, drippers, genesis style, protanks, iclear 30's, bottom feeders.....I've acquired all that stuff and have had a lot of fun doing it, reading and learning, experimenting, trying different things......flavor mixing...
I like boge LR cartos in an AGR tank. Thats what I almost always use and it almost always works perfectly. (on a Provari, of course) The point is, I'm not smoking and I'm not struggling not to smoke. I may have saved a nickel by now because I like trying the other delivery systems, mods, mechs...whatever. Start somewhere and find whats best for you. Just don't smoke.

Its hard to make the jump from 50 to 175 but it is worth it IMO out of all of my Mods I ues the Provari the most cause I can take it everywhere and not worry about it being damaged or failing. Had my first one 1.5 years of not gently used and its going strong. Low maintenance also I clean the connections and contacts once a month and it always works well.

The threads on the Vamo is an issue. I have the V3 and nothing would sit straight on it plus while screwing in tanks the last few twists seemed a little rough. I screwed on an ego cone until it touched the top ring. Now all my tanks sit straight and it seems like they make a perfect contact and then stop with no rough feel on the threads.

Kind of a blurry pic but you get the idea.

Great idea! I don't have a cone but it got me thinking...so I screwed the base of an AGR carto tank on to my Vamo V2 really tight. ( I had to just to get to where the threads would bite.) Then I can screw anything into the base piece. All is straight and tight in Vamo world! Anyone want to buy my Provari? Only kidding...but atleast I can use the Vamo if I need it! Thanks man! I guess I need an ego cone because yours sure is prettier.

I have the vamo Not bad for the money
and honestly I am happy I got it for my first mod gives me an Idea of what mods do
But the whole set it and forget it is just a fairy tale

Its a decent vape but after a few months I'm having problems with my 510 threads
Sill works on my carto tanks (a little wobbly but workable)
but my RBA's not so good

I just got an aromatic from ahlusion (no steeping) I was excited to try
I had to put an RBA on a Cwist to try it :(

with the vamo who am I going to call Ghostbusters?

I ordered a provari Why
2 year warranty service
I am not uncomfortable wiping out the provari out in public
The Vamo never leaves the house
also from all that I read the technology bring a more even hit of electricity
giving a smoother vape

I will still use the vamo for sure its a good mod
but after a lot of research the I believe I will love the provari

Just speaking from experience, I have owned a provari for 6 months now, and a Vamo V2 for about 4. My vamo is now my beach PV because it's of low quality, cheap and I don't care if it breaks. When the battery starts to get low on the Vamo I feel as if the vape quality is noticeably lower than when fully charged (I use a 18650 Panasonic NCR for both mods). The Provari however will give me the same vape wether my battery charge is at 4.0 volts or 3.1. The fact that the provari (I own the 2.5) is regulated means it outperforms hands down.

And as for the difference in price, the Provari is QUALITY. I have dropped my 2.5 quite a few times and not once have I been worried about breaking it. Not to mention it is made in the USA and comes with a warranty. I still cringe every time my Vamo V2 hits the ground...

So it all comes down to what you want and what type of person you are. Are your standards for quality higher? IMHO, the Provari is totally worth the $$$ and I say that with the utmost confidence after owning one for half a year. It all comes down to how serious you are about vaping as I have not tried anything to date that can produce the vape quality that my Provari 2.5 can. Hope this helps you OP.

I am a proud Provarian :vapor:

The provari is strictly dedicated 510 and thats not something I'm a big fan of regardless of price. Ego threading is nice for a little variety. My buddy loves his provari over his v2 and v3. I can say he got the v2 and v3 for still less than his one provari.
I've never once had the desire to put a CE4 or Evod on my ProVari, so I don't miss the eGo threading. My REO also only has 510 threading - that's never bothered me either. YMMV, I guess.

The provari looks great, but I cannot justify the 200$ price tag.

If you already have a charger, you would only have to buy the ProVari and batteries (although you may have some already for other mods). ProVape has a clearance section that has 2.0. They are exactly the same as the 2.5, expect for the pattern on the body. There are also "blems," which are units that have small cosmetic blemishes, but work perfectly and come with the same 1-year warranty. The blemishes are very minute. I only know of a couple of people who have figured out what the blemish is on their ProVaris. I think mine is a slight fading on the logo, but I'm not sure. Anyway, my first mini was $140.+$15. for a blue LED screen up grade.

Models on the clearance page change almost daily. There only 3 today, but there are usually more.

I meant to say, I can't justify it yet. I just bought two mods, atomizers, etc. Later down the road I will step up to the big boy vape.

Clearance page has been slim lately. I don't know why. I have been actively trolling it for a few weeks, before running out of patience and paying full price (minus labor day discount, naturally) for my version 2.5 black satin. I got 18490s from Provape, figuring that the shipping costs from ordering them from RTD would be a wash for the three batteries. Plus, I always order at least one battery with the mod to prevent the unthinkable situation of receiving a mod I cannot use due to lack of batteries!

EDIT:

Cost of the black satin full 2.5 with three 18490 AW IMR batteries:

$201.40 (shipping was free)

FYI

the jump from 50 to 175 is not as hard as you might think when I ran into a problem in less then 3 months

money is a little tight at the moment but Ill be damned if I spent another 50 and had another problem in 3 months

in fact it was not 175 I went I think 225 because I got the 2 year warranty and blue light

so what Ill eat ramen noodle for a month I wont have a problem and have no one to call

Again, it's only a "no brainer" after having both. Vamo is a great device to start into the mod world. I read all the comparisons when I still used ego batteries. I knew Provari would outlast Vamo. I told myself I'd be real careful screwing things on...mine will last forever and I'll have $120 bucks left to buy other stuff. Well, It didn't work out that way...but here's what did happen:

I bought a Vamo V2. It arrived quickly with charger, batteries, 2 Vivi Nova tanks, some extra coils...etc. I was excited. Charged the batteries, filled up a tank, checked the ohms, set the watts and took a vape. It was unbelievable. I was hooked! I smoked 2+/- packs a day. In atlanta thats about $10 a day. I spent $60 on the kit. If that Vamo only lasted a week, it would have been worth it. It still works several months later. More importantly, I didn't smoke cigarettes anymore. I still don't. A Vamo is an extremely affordable way to find out if mods are for you. I love vaping and I love the stuff. A Provari is a really nice, reliable device that I use everyday, all day. It's never let me down. I would still be using ego batteries if there wasn't something like a Vamo to show me what vaping COULD be like. I'd have never spent the money on a Provari if I didn't already know mods were the way I wanted to go.

My Vamo got me to try my eVic, which led me to The ProVarinati

Money is tight. I had a "strict" $50 limit on e-cig stuff. In that respect the provari wasn't even on the table for consideration. I just ordered a vamo v2 with 2 18650 batteries, a charger, an RDA, wick and wire for $51 and change. I haven't gotten it yet (it's decomposing in hong kong) so maybe I'll be disappointed with it but there's no other option that I know of for my price limit.

Having girlfriends is nice

baaa

having my money stay in MY wallet is better lol

all my friends tell me how great it is being married, but look so jealous when im heading out to have fun on friday night................. never understood why ;)

in all seriousness the vamo is ok, for the pricepoint its a decent mod, what it did do is force the other companies to adopt a more realistic price point with the other mods as it was the first one to prove it could be done cheaper. and they did it well.
if i didnt own a provari i would think its fantastic, but unfortunately i bought one well after spending time with a PV and no one can convince me they are anywhere near comparable, but they are worth buying if thats all you want to spend. have fun and enjoy it.

I love you guys... you are great for the delirious soul

I vote.. Buy both and mate them to create a hybrid

Or you could just use both.. I know I am going off the rails but I do love my Vamo. Affordable and mine has lasted since I started Vaping in March with no problems.

What do you get when you cross a ProVari and a Vamo?
I don't know, but be careful. It's built like a tank and hisses like a rattlesnake.

I doubt you'll be disappointed, it's a nice mod. If you've never had a APV before, you'll be quite happy. In my case, I already had a ProVari and a Bobo (Sigelei Zmax), so when the Vamo arrived I had something to compare it to. The only problems I have had is the chrome black finish where I hold it wore off in about 2 weeks and it's top heavy, so I have to keep in a holder (it tipped over on a table top and scuffed the screen).

My personal dislikes are the button placement (I keep hitting the adjust buttons when I fire it) and I'm paranoid about the 510 connection, so I baby it, which I don't like to have to do. I also don't care for the menu. Again, these are personal preferences and obviously other people feel differently. I'm not trashing the Vamo, it's fine for price, but the OP already has a Vamo and was asking about the differences between a Vamo and a ProVari.

I have a Vamo V2 and two ProVaris. Neener²

<--- Ups the ante. I have a Vamo V3 and two Provaris. Neener

Ante's aside.

Both the Vamo and the Provari rock.

The Vamo is not very durable. My Vamo's finish is looking really mottled and it was nice looking chrome at one point, but now it's about to hit the garbage can, because it bothers me to hold the gritty. I'll buy the stainless V3 or maybe wait for the Stainless V4. Others have dropped their Vamo and it died, when it does you throw it away. Made in China. You can buy it on Fasttech for $36.31 for the Stainless Steel one.

The Provari is a tank. It is built solidly, and feels very substantial. It also vapes "smoother" to me. This may just be one of those things, like when you wash your car it seems to run better. It really doesn't run better but you enjoy it more because it looks better. Yes the Provari is a higher price. It is made in America with quality parts and comes with a nice warranty, in addition Provape is very good about repairs even after warranty. I purchased both of my Provari from Provape directly. One full retail, about $200 with my choice of LED and the extension for 18650 batteries. Second one I bought a blem for $133 on sale, then bought the second battery extender later. I can only use one at a time per se, but I do like having both set up and using two different flavors, one on each.

EXPENSIVE? What the hell are you smoking? I spent over $50 a week on cigarettes. My Provarii will last for years.

If Provape made a version with the OLED, and VW, I would be more than willing to pay the $20 each to upgrade my units to that version of the electronics for them.

Note that the Vamo is lacking in upgrade options, repair options and it's not very durable.

As far as vaping, there is not a lot of difference, both get the job done with the ability to change your voltage. You can change the wattage on the Vamo but that is NOT the end all be all it can be presented as. You memorize the voltages you like for the Ohms of your coil once you use the Provari about a week or so. I have 10 different types of tanks, they only have 3 different resistances. 1.8 Ohm 2.5 Ohm and 2.1 Ohm. 3.6V, 4.1V and 3.9V is where I vape those at. Sometimes a lighter juice needs lower voltage, sometimes a stronger thicker juice needs higher voltage. That happens with Wattage on the Vamo also.

In the end it's preference. If you can keep your Vamo alive for months, and aren't going to have an issue if it breaks, use the Vamo. The Provari isn't going to make your Vape different. It's merely the hardware. The part that will have significant impact on how your vape tastes and so forth is the top end device. The tank or rbda or genesis style atomizer and so on.

I have a $15 Omega, with a $8 Igo-L and a $2 drip tip that vapes very nicely. Would I recommend this to most? No, it's a real hassle to build coils for, can take over an hour at times to get that coil just right. It's not as safe either. The only major difference is that it blows HUGE clouds, which isn't what I need MOST of the time, but I have it so I can do that when I want to.

My Provari (either of them) and my Zen Z-Atty-Pro are what I use when I want the best flavor, but genesis type atomizers like the Z Atty Pro, are NOT pocket safe or friendly, they can and will leak, so don't put these in your pocket without a baggie or a prescription bottle to carry them in. I carry my Vamo V3 with a Protank or Protank II to school for the day. It can be placed in my backpack and if it gets stolen or breaks I won't burst a gasket. Sometimes I put a Lavatube v 1.5 in my backpack instead, it's lighter and has variable voltage also, and it's even more disposable to me than my Vamo is.

I use my Ego C-Twist to run to the grocery store, and as a backup.
