The ELA has adjustable draw (which is huge) and an adjustable center pin so atomizers with varying connection characteristics work with minimal fuss. But as of yet none of us have seen these things in action so it's hard to say how Super-T's implementation stacks up.

The PrecisePlus is a wonder of purpose-built simplification and it's hard for me to picture a day without one in my hand.

If you use a kick, it fits inside the ELA as opposed to having to use the kicklet with the p+. Also if you ever wanted a smaller device, you'd just need to get smaller batteries, not a whole new device as well. Visually, as for now though the ELA's center tube will show when using it in 18650 mode as opposed to using it with the accent rings in 18500 or without it in 18350 mode, but it's just an asthetic preference. There is some chatter though of super-t releasing an accent ring for the ELA in 18650 mode to cover the entire exposed telescope tube.

Any more info on using the kick with the ELA? I had a precise plus, it was fantastic, but I ended up selling it because of the hassle using the kick with it. The kick worked fine, but because you could only insert batteries from the top, I had to drag the kick out through the threads every time I wanted to change battery, which became a pain in the .... real quick.

Can you insert batteries from the bottom end of the ELA and is the top cap threaded/removable for easy kick access?

The ELA has 2 tubes, one slides into the other, not 3 like most other telescopes. so the kick goes in the top tube and when you change batts it stays put. There's a video in the ELA thread showing it changed from 18650 to 18350 modes. You can see how the kick wouldn't have to leave the telescopic tube. As far as the top cap being threaded, I would assume so, considering there is an optional larger telescopic tube, makes sense they would use the same top cap. Don't quote me on that, but so much thought has gone into this device I would be shocked if that wasn't the case.

EDIT: Just read up on the ELA and yes, the top cap separates from the center tube for easy kick adjustment.

What exactly does adjustable draw mean?

Thanks for the answers!

Mutt, the adjustable draw is a feature on the ELA that allows you to control how hard you make your inhale pull from your atomizer or cartomizers. Now, remember, it only works on atomizers or cartomizers with a bottom draw. If you are using RBAs (rebuildables) with side air intake, this feature will not work.

Hope that helps.

Mutt, a good analogy would be that with an ELA you could have the draw of an Ultralight cigarette if you choose it to be, or a regular filtered cigarette if that's your preference.

I'm just laughing here due to the fact that I'm having an incredible hard time describing something that is actually pretty simple

So it just dictates how much airflow there is?

I am extremely happy with my P+18500, to the point that I have no real desire for an ELA (aside from "ooh shiny!"). But if I were choosing today, I would probably go for the ELA for its versatility. Decisions, decisions, eh ;)
One of my most favorite things about my PrecisePluses is how they feel in the hand. So smooth, seamless, natural. The ELA kind of scares me that way, I think I'll have to keep in mind that it would be comparing apples to oranges.
