Differences in batteries or maybe cartomizers?

I thought all Kr808s were created equal, but maybe not? Or maybe it's the cartos that are different? I have Vapor King auto batts from V4L, and Volt manual batts from smokeless image. I have prefilled cartos from Bloogplanet. They're the Maxx Fusion cartos. I'm in love with the chocolate.

The problem is that I'll put one of those cartos on my Vapor King auto batt and it's great. If I put the same carto on my Volt manual, there's a burnt taste. The carto is new, and when I put it back on the auto batt after getting the burnt taste on the manual, it tastes like it should again.

Also, I just got my first order of juice yesterday and filled a carto with it. I used an 80/20 PG/VG mix, cherry flavor from Liberty Flights. I don't notice any discernable difference in taste, but I get much more TH and vapor from the manual batt. :Cough Cough:

So is it the batts or the carto? And how do I know which cartos are compatible with which Kr8 batts? I thought they were all interchangeable (except for the chargers).

EDIT
Nevermind. I just took a few more puffs on the auto, and I got the burnt taste. May be a bad carto. The first 3 cartos were great. The last two not so great. Or is it possible that putting them on the manual batt fried them? I really don't remember which batt I used the first 3 cartos on. I'm really confusing myself!

I can't speak for the Volt stuff, never used them, but V4L's cartos have a vertical coil instead of a horizontal one like Bloog. That could be making the difference right there too. Morandir pointed out on another thread to me that Bloog's cartos won't work well with V4L's batteries, and I'm not willing to risk ruining brand new cartos to find out for myself!

Thanks for the replies!

Morandir, right now I have V4L auto batts and Volt manual batts. Are the Volt batts gen 2? Since you said that Volt uses horizontal coil cartos, I'm guessing they are. I know I've gotten the burned juice taste on the Volt manual battery also.

I also have an Elite 808 on its way. Do you know if that's gen 2? I need to know which cartos I can use on which batteries. Is there a thread somewhere on the forum that has that info?

Could the burned juice taste come from vaping too much in a short period of time, as in not waiting a certain amount of time between puffs?
