Anybody else have problems with the batteries from SmokelessImage not working with cartos from anywhere else? The Volt batts work fine with SI cartos but none of the Volt batts (I've got 4) work with any other kind of carto: Boge, Vortex, etc.

I havent tried any other 808s but I have used a few 510s on them from ccv with an adapter and they work great. But I bought some extra adapters from GP and they don't work right and I don't remember where I bought the adapter that does work
Volt is a gen2 Kr808D-1 battery regulated to run at 3.6 volts pretty much for the life of the charge. Their cartos are horizontal bottom coil and the resistance is matched to the battery. There are several other gen2 brands including Bloog, Smoov,Halo G6 and I believe Nhaler. Their cartos should work well but the gen1 vertical and lower resistance cartos don't seem to do so great. I've got a few Riva batteries that run at about 3.7 and an adaptor to 808 and Volt cartos work great. But when I put them on my Ego batteries at 3.2 or so volts, the performance drops off a lot. Good for some fruity and desert flavors though.
Zerominusone sir have you tried adjusting the post? Could be that it's not making a good connection.
My bloog cartos work good on them but then again I heard that the bloog ones are the same as the smokeless image ones. I do have probs getting vapor4life cartos to work on them, heard that the post can be adjusted like morandir said but I usually don't bother, just put those on a battery it does connect on instead.
I got some cartos from revolution vapor? They don't work on my volt at all. Just a tiny wisp of vapor. I have not tried adjusting the post. mainly because I use my ego now
Thanx everybody. WuzzntMe, how do you know, before you order, which one your getting? I didn't see anykind of g1 or g2 on their site (or maybe I wuzznt looking hard enough, hehe). Morandir835, you mean the center thing on the battery? If so, I don't have anything thin enough to get a tight hold on it; what do you use?
Zerominusone sir volt batts are gen 2, any vendors selling horizontal coils it's good odds that's it will be gen 2 batts. As for the center post, I use a safety pin and push it up slightly by going through the airholes.
You don't need to actually grip it. Just a little wiggle back and forth works.
Yeah, I did it, I think....because the Volt battery is working with the Boge carto now. I couldn't find a needle or anything small enough to poke through the air hols but I pushed the smallest needle I could find (my gf gave me a pretty tiny one) down between the rim and the post and kinda pried it a little and then did the opposite side. I wasn't sure anything happened but it must have 'cuz the carto works now. Thanx.
