there are a LOT of differences
different juice capacity
different post configuration (for single, dual, triple or quad coils)
size
materials
quantity of airflow
position of airflow

you have a huge selection on rdas that should suit every preference.

so you need to first think of what you want to get out of your dripper an then search accordingly

for example:

I for me love the rogue
the top airflow makes it leak proof even if over dripped
simple 3 post design
small profile (I hate to use a dripper with the same height as a tank) so great flavor
the airflow is perfect for dual coils

Just wanted to say thanks for asking this question and everyone who answered it. Just recently got into RDA's myself and always wondering why 1:1 clones were $30 compared to authentic which are $100+

china has bigger manufacturing capabilities than modders, so there you go. doesn't mean that there is bad quality but at the same time it doesn't mean they have good one either.. just check reviews and you'll be fine

Something that I noticed that with 1:1 clones are that they are manufactured in different countries. Sometimes they are bad sometimes they are the same. They all should have the same general feel, however the quality depending on where it was made may be poorer even non-existent. Sometimes you have to look at what reviewers have to say to get the general point on whether or not the quality is good.

Well I'm learning A lot I already put 3 post RDA together and I put a post less RDA together with quad coil and got .02 on so I messed that up but at least I got it together and I ordered three more different kinds of rdas and will start working with nickel on my istick 40 watt tc.

Here's a pic of my quad postless don't laugh I was using extra kanthal laying around and just playing so I know it's not even lol. [emoji13]

Is that 24g kanthal? With that many wraps you should be somewhere above .1 ohm. Something must be shorting somewhere. And your coils all have different wraps. It wouldn't work right even if you fixed the short.

Yeah it's 24g. I'll double check that it's not shorting. Each one I put in I checked the ohms and it incrementally went down. But I'll double check. But yeah I know they are all different wraps. First I didn't think it mattered and second I was trying with spare left over kanthal just to see if it would fit in the holes. I was later corrected that it does in fact have to be same wraps. I should have thought (4 years in electronics) different number of wraps will be different ohm thus electricity will flow path of least resistance.

They will all light up, but not at the same time or with the same speed. It looks like you are doing a 2mm ID? 6 wraps like this, dual coil should be around .21 ohm. If not, something is wrong. Add two more coils and you should be slightly above .1 ohm.

I just ordered an IVOGO clone, do you have any input on them?

I've got an Ivogo Little Boy, an Ivogo Lancia, and an Ivogo Dimitri mod. The dimitri is a perfect mod. I haven't had issues with the Little Boy either. When I first got the Lancia, there was an issue with the 510 threading... it wasn't machined perfectly and wouldn't screw on to all of my mods. I since got a replacement that works fine.

Ivogo generally makes cheap but above-average quality clones. They are a safe bet.

Awesome thanks for the info, I ordered a Velocity IVOGO the other day hopefully the build quality is up to par.

The irony is the ivogo monk is an ivogo original and had seals so you tell it's not a clone. But most of their products like the cherrybomb are clones. So cloners don't want to be cloned. And also their cherrybomb wording cracks me up since it's coming from a cloner lol.

I've got an authentic Velocity. I hope your clone is just as good, but don't really know. I can say that if it is, the Velocity is a really fantastic RDA. Its easy to build, has huge airflow adjustability, you can just squirt a dropper full of juice down the wide bore tip and it doesn't leak, you'll never accidentally suck juice up the drip tip, and the top cap has a notch in it so it locks into place perfectly in-line with the coils every time.
Its a great choice.

Got it yesterday, its not bad for a clone, finish is nice threads are clean but the tab in the deck that holds the lower barrel in place is a little loose, not too bad, and first time I assembled the barrels together took awhile to get it threaded right, kept feeling like it was cross threading. Not bad for $14 though and it is a really nice RDA love all the airflow options.
