I currently have 30 gauge wire because of building for a zmax. I am getting my sentinel M16 this weekend. What would be the reason to go to a 26 or 28 gauge. Will the 30 work the same as far as vapor production goes. I am ordering the sony batteries and if I have to I will order some thicker wire if I can't use the 30.

You can use the 30 just fine.

The lower the gauge, the less resistance per inch of wire. So you can build bigger coils, thus increasng surface area, while maintaining a low resistance.

My personal favorite wire for rdas is 24. It is highly durable, and is easy to work with. As an example, i have rewicked a 24 awg quad coil about 60 times now over the course of about 3 months. No increase in resistance or any other problems.

What do y'all think the lowest I can go when doing dual coils with the 30. I just bought about 6 feet of it and the wife will have a fit if I go buy more before it runs out and when I do go buy more what is the best size to get. I am fairly new to building my own coils

Amazon sells 100 foot rolls for about 6$

If you twist your wire, you can achieve lower resistance. Twisting two 30ga wires vapes a little harder than 28ga to me. I've done up to 4 strands of 30 ga twisted together, 5 wraps around a 5/64" bit and I got about 0.3 ohms.

I like twisting my wire so I don't really need to buy lower gauge wire. But yeah, lower gauge wire = lower resistance = more power through the coil = harder hit, vapor production, and flavor
