different boards and chips

Im lookin into making mods and im just wondering what other boards are out there and available to buy. I've been lookin at the zmax rev 2, dna boards (of course), and the sx350. I was wondering what else is out there? Also i know mechs are all the rage and those have crossed my mind but id prefer to pass on those for now.

It's not the flashiest. It uses boost/pwm instead of buck/boost like the sx350. It is under $12.

cool! though ordering from fasttech is not really in my comfort zone but good to know its there. the zmax rev2 is only 16.99. i will at some point go with some dna 30s but just trying to find out all of available options

Theres also the dropin kick modules; worth considering from a modding point of view because it means standardish dimensions; and while there's 15 watt kicks right now, chances are there will be 30 watt kicks coming out with the same dimensions.


otoh, the dropin kicks don't come with a screen........ (yet)

this will be a bit of a business venture for me. I've been toying with a model idea for a mech box mod made specifically to be kicked.

I did a Zmax box build, and the only downfall is the 1.2ohm cutoff.. Other than that, it works great!

I'd go with the SX350 because of it's clean and accurate output.
It's a little pricey but it's the best there is.

currently workin on a zmax board mod right now. took it out of a Tmax. Ill have to price around for the sx350 cus they look legit!!
